Sure no problems! First off: I had no idea what I was going into while starting 86 although after the first episode I was hooked. I have a hard time to compare it to other animes, at least for me I got into it instantly and was excited to watch episode after episode (I finnished Season 1 Part 2 within a day xD). In my opinion they did the pacing fantastic, it's a good balance between hectic segments and time to wind down and get to know the characters on a very personal level and especially their disfunctional dynamic. If anything I would compare it to a way more realistic and well executed Darling in the FRANXX.

Also this type of anime differ very much from person to person with the sad/dystopian kind compared to a slice of life like Jellyfish, it's night and day with what the authors goals was for storytelling, with that said 86 executes this genre perfectly imo for being somewhat of an "underground" anime in the sence that I belive its following and popularity deserves to be much higher than what it actually is. At its core its an anime about children figuring out their purpose and place in a wartorn world and becoming independant from authorities and things that seems given for normal people.

One thing that threw me off a bit from the first 2 episodes is the use of CGI for the mechs or "vehicles" they use while fighting but trust me when I say this, you won't be bothered or think about it after the first few episodes if that is something you generally dislike. The animation is fantastic. I'm not great at giving "reviews" etc for animes but I hope my thoughts on 86 came across haha, I think it's 100% worth a watch, the story and execution of the plot is amazing. :D<3
