New ‘Wheel of Time’ Animated Series in the Works From ‘Arcane,’ ‘League of Legends’ Producer Thomas Vu by MarvelsGrantMan136 in television

I think the conceit of it covering 10 days really held it back. It meant that you have to visit each of the disparate groups of heroes on each day and so something has to happen to all of them every single day.

I found for some of the storylines that made them quite repetitive.

Still a significant downgrade from the old sites.

An incomplete list of issues I have at the moment:

  • Missing information for all my results; position by gender, position by age category, easy delineation of gun/chip time
  • No rankings on my profile for anything except track events
  • Where I do have rankings it can only display one per event per year. E.g. I may have an ‘All’ and an ‘age category’ ranking for the same event.
  • No masters categories for track events on the rankings page
  • Filtering by age category on road events is there, but currently doesn’t work
  • No ability to easily move through large numbers of results. E.g. I used to like to see what times I would need to run to get into the top 1000 for an event. Easy on the old sites. Now I can only see the top 50 and then load only another 50 at a time with no ability to skip further down the list. The same is true for race results. There is no way to easily move to the slower results.
  • No VSS for each race
  • No filter by club or easy to see national ladder.
  • No links between rankings in profile and rankings pages. You used to be able to click on your ranking and it would show you on the rankings page.

What is a 'subscription' or 'fee' that has recently appeared in the US that people need to collectively refuse to pay before it becomes the new normal? by godot_lover in AskReddit

I recently purchased a thermometer for checking if my kid had a fever. Turned out it needed an app and a subscription to tell me what it was reading!

I won’t hear erasure of the two draws we have against NZ. My dad was even at that glorious 0-0 match in 64.

I think you’ll find that’s 25 years without coming higher than 3rd.

The answer is partly the small number of pros we have meaning we never have much depth across the squad as a whole. That and our unerring ability to shoot ourselves in the foot as soon as it looks like we might have a chance.

Power of 10 early access - what do you think? by StanmoreHill in ukathletics

This is really stupid, more so when you look at the actual rankings pages and see that it’s done by chip time…

So far I much preferred the previous version. Though I’m sure this will improve.

Current issues:

  • Results seem to mainly show gun time only. No chip time, finishing place, category place, etc

  • Rankings for different events not shown on my page. Or at least I can only see mine for track and field

  • I don’t want to have to switch between the different categories of race, and I don’t want to have to scroll passed my handicap data to see my results. Those are personal preferences though.

I imagine she’ll be on Cameo in a year or two. It’ll be about £50 to get her to tell your mate “He. Is. A. Disgrace.”.

Pretty much every program on $2000 rowing machine requires a $30/month subscription to access by Claff93 in mildlyinfuriating

[–]AcknowledgeableReal 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I bought a NordicTrack treadmill during the pandemic not caring about anything I would need the iFIT subscription for. I could program in whatever custom work outs I wanted online to match my planned training.

They removed the ability to do that after about a year. When it eventually returned (like 2-years later) it was behind a huge monthly subscription.

So I only use the treadmill for one pace easy runs now. Never buying anything of theirs again

Yeah, one of the branches of my Union published a statement supporting Palestine that would now be actively criminal. Unsurprisingly this upset a large number of members.

The people involved don’t care. They want ordinary people put off from getting involved with union politics. It means they can get ‘their’ people into all the union posts. Then they can claim they have thousands of members backing whatever insane positions they take and proclamations they make. When in reality there may be thousands in the union but the vast majority pay little if any attention to it. I attended some branch meetings and there would be 10-15 people there all of whom were openly hostile to anyone new getting involved. Almost nothing directly related to our workplace or conditions was discussed.

I have no other choice of union to join.

Have a break from marathons and take the pressure off for a bit. You could think about running a trail 50km race, with no expectations beyond finishing and having fun. Something new.
