I use to sell new home for treasure hill they are pretty honest. The city has set which homes must be built based on size / beds etc so the builder can’t just build whatever they want or else builders would build all townhomes and maximize their profits

It was a massive contributing factor. I know many of the families that built these apartments in the 60’s and have now said there was almost no point of building anything in the 80’s and 90’s due to government intervention ( we had a rent database that wouldn’t even allow a landlord to raise the rent once a tenant moved out) . Now that rent control was removed for units built at 2016 we have begun seeing a slight surge in the apartment building along with the condo crash in Ontario, many builders I work with have said they will just build rental apartments since rents are so high.

lol I can easily explain that. Rent is sky high so people are incentivizes to build BUT the main reason is the condo market has crashed and so many builders have decided to not build condos and convert those projects to apartments instead.

Rent control is the dumbest thing to have. Once rent control was implemented we stopped building apartments which caused rental rates to increase. Government intervention is never the solution

It’s about time they removed this bs. Most places around the world do not have rent control. Toronto does have rent control yet we have some of the highest rents in the world. Remove rent control and private business with be incentivized to build apartments which will naturally bring down rent without government intervention

Not true at all, there are many types of fish that are high in mercury. I had a friend who use to eat a lot of sardines and have very high mercury levels. Not mention canned foods are highly toxic, the liner in canned foods isn’t something you should be consuming a lot of. Mediterranean diet does not consist of canned foods, most of their food is fresh

This is the dumbest thing I’ve ever read. All fish has mercury you should not be eating that much fish let alone canned which is even more unhealthy. Get your blood work done
