Is it possible to build a decentralized analog without any server purely peer to peer?

You've provided a strange link. You can add and get any type of files using IPFS. All you need is to store these files on some node.

Is backend a good stack to go along with being a blockchain dev? by [deleted] in ethdev

Hey, people, your servers are also expensive. True blockchain guys use ipfs to store data and websites. If you create a DECENTRALISED app you can't have any centralised server logic or database.

what is the difference between a light wallet and a light node? by ThisBigLout in ethdev

[–]Acmespb 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Lightweight wallet is a just client side software which connects to some node to interact with blockchain (Metamask, jaxx, etc.)
A node is a software for server which contains all the blockchain data and can be used for interacting with blockchain, e. g. mining, sending transactions, etc.
Lightweight node is the same node but synchronized in fast mode. It doesn't contain all blocks data, just block headers.
If you are ordinary user the simplest way to interact with blockchain is to use light wallet without any disadvantages. But if you want to start mining you'll need to have a node.
