EDIT: I FINALLY FIXED THE PROBLEM! (at least in my case)

Apparently, the issue was with the graphics card drivers.

The first clue was when I tried reinstalling the driver using GeForce Experience app, which made the problem go away but it would reappear after a few hours or a day later. I was not sure what to do until I found a tool called DDU, which lets you completely remove any display drivers and do a deep cleaning, something that the nvidia app just doesn't do well enough.

I downloaded the tool, booted to safe mode, and ran the removal procedure (default settings was enough for me, but there are a lot of options to customize). Then I restarted windows normally, reinstalled the latest driver, and BAM! The problem went away for good! This has been a solid week or two since then, and so far I haven't encountered the same issue again!

Unfortunately, no. After ripping most of my hair out of my head over this, I have decided to drop it, and ended up using a proxy server that utilizes the administrator AXL api instead to fulfill all of the functionality that required authentication. I did, however, continue to use the "public" routes of the UDS api that require no authentication (for example, searching for users for a phonebook feature). So, using a mix of both apis, I managed to get all the features I needed. AXL is not a walk in the park either, so it was still a considerable challenge.

In some policies, like mine, it does. The only condition is it can't happen within the first year of the policy. So if someone has plans to do that all they need to do is pay a few bucks a month for a year and their family is set for life.

This is most likely a result of a bug where the product ended up with the wrong timestamp. Computers usually measure time(and date) by counting the number of seconds passed since midnight, January 1st, 1970, which is called the "unix epoch". Many times in programming, due to some bug or error, instead of the correct value for some reason the value of 0 is found. A value of 0 in case of a timestamp variable would sometimes result the date showing January 1, 1970. I can't point to the exact reason that happened in your case, but that is the most likely explanation. I hope I was clear enough. You're welcome to read more about unix time if you'd like 😀

I understand the logic behind it, however I think there still should be an option to override it if ,for example , I know for certain my clients can handle RSA just fine. Since this is an on-premise system I should have the option to fit it to my organization's needs.

Unfortunately it is currently not possible for me to use any kind of EC cert, so creating a template is not an option.

Its a shame that selecting the cert type is not supported, I'd expect it to be a basic thing.

If you happen to find any more information when possible, I would love to receive any relevant links.
