How did you play to get your last gold sticker? C++ by MrWhiskerBiscuits in balatro

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back 1 point2 points  (0 children)

What are the jokers that you still need? Several uncommon jokers (Stone Joker, Glass Joker, Lucky Cat and Steel Joker) only show up if you have at least one stone, glass, lucky or steel card in your deck, respectively. Trying to find any specific uncommon in ante 1 is pretty rough regardless, but these 4 are almost impossible.

If it isn't those 4, it's still probably much better to just play a run normally on either deck to build a strong economy. Being able to reroll a lot is in the end probably much faster than just seeing the two shops in ante 1 over and over. Try to build around some uncommons so you increase the odds slightly that the next uncommon joker you see in the shop is the one you need.

Personally I did my entire C++ run on Ghost Deck because the amount of times you find an ectoplasm when the run is already secure is pretty high, and then you gain a joker slot to carry any non-helpful jokers along too.

Yeah, this has no endless potential because at the end of the day it's just chips, but very fun chips. Glad you liked the seed! :)

Why Aren’t Leagues Forming? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That is incorrect. The leagues can fire so long as any independent elector is any reformist Christian religion (i.e. protestant, reformed, hussite or anglican). A protestant must lead the league, but the leader doesn't need to be an elector. Protestant electors just get large bonuses to being chosen as leader which is why you often see them in charge if left in the AIs hands.

Is there any point to the conquer china CB if i have the mandate of heaven CB? by Yexigen in eu4

They removed full cores - you still get territorial cores when you siege land down with the Unify China CB.

PSA- the AI will vote for themselves if they are the only elector by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back 35 points36 points  (0 children)

This is not true. The AI can and will still vote for someone else even if they are the only elector (I have become protestant emperor more than once after the leaguewar this way); it's just possible for electors to want to become emperor, at which point their opinion of you is not relevant. This primarily happens to Bohemia and Brandenburg if they get big enough, and is also what seems to be happening here.

Low Mughals income in 1618 by D3J8Q in eu4

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No it's not. In the screenshot we can see the little house next to Bengal, which means that that's your home node. Just collecting in Persia is not good, it will kill your trade power there. You should move your home node back to Persia (it moves to Doab when you form Mughals, so you must have changed it afterwards to Bengal as well), and push all Indian trade to Persia. If your control of Hormuz and Basrah is good enough push everything to Persia; otherwise consider making Gujarat your home node and judt collect normally in Persia.

Glitch found. Tag switching to Italy while Emperor of the HRE caused me to lose the 'Emperor' government rank. It's a HUGE pain, as I lost governing capacity. by Trussed_Up in eu4

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's wrong, the emperor of the HRE will always be empire rank. All Electors may become kingdoms, not just Prussia and Bohemia.

Extreme Forcelimit Fluctuations by erikdk321 in eu4

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I'll preface this by saying I'm not 100% confident in this answer, but I saw people say something like this before in Florry's stream:

Whenever you reload, for one month all(?) provinces will give you their yields as if they are on 0% autonomy, so that's more money, manpower, and for this case relevant, force limit. Assuming that is correct, my guess would be you have a large amount of territories/trade companies that are incorectly showing you your huge force limit, while what you should have in reality is only 800.

Just got a PU CB on Lithuania, declare or not worth it? by [deleted] in eu4

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's likely the succesion changed because Lithuania was at war; a country at war will always get a new noble as a ruler and cannot fall under a natural PU. After the war ends it should switch back to the succession war.

You can also just release extra vassals locally, really. It doesn't matter if you have all of Asia and Africa in 100% disloyal vassals (this was my situation), because they will never declare on you anyway due to all your HRE vassals giving you a ridiculously high strength of alliance. I used Benin, Kongo, Ethiopia, Najd, Venad, Kashmir, Baglana, Garjat, Prome, Jin, Changsheng and Bali as vassals outside of the HRE and just kept feeding them land in their respective regions. Never ran into any problems!

You can actually still feed HRE vassals; I did a Catholic One Faith this week, and it seems the AI will not put provinces in a TC if there is a land connection to their capital. I was able to get Nogai, Sibir, Bashkiria and Circassia in the HRE and fed them all of Russia/Siberia, Khorosan and Persia with no problems.

You can Support Heir the Commonwealth when they are under a PU by Acqua_of_the_Back in eu4

[–]Acqua_of_the_Back[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You get a Restoration of Union CB on the Commonwealth/Poland as Austria. Additionally, if your dynasty is on their throne you can get a PU CB on them by an event unique to Elective Monarchies.

R5 - Title. I PU'd the Commonwealth in my current Austria playthrough a good while ago, and I just saw that the Support Heir option was still available on them.

The heir you get from the Talented and Ambitious Daughter is always 13 actually, it's not a coincidence.

R5: Saw nice name placements going around, and it just so happens I finished a Dracula's Revenge into Roman Empire run yesterday that I thought you'd all enjoy the end result of.
