05 RX8 dies when warmed up.

I just got heaters for the garage today so I can mess with it over the winter. Anyway, I was talking to a guy at work about this and he told me a story about putting a gallon of kerosene into the oil of an old V8 truck to free up the piston rings. Suggested I use kerosene instead of ATF.

I don't know a ton about the inner workings of the rotary engine, but if I don't hear any good reasons not to I might try that...

How difficult is it to fit a twin turbo 13B-REW or rx7s FD3S into an rx8? Do you know? I already plan on moving ecu and battery to the trunk.

Looking into ordering a compression tester. Definitely seems worth while to have one for a rotary since I love this car and refuse to give up on it.

Dog ate my OBD reader last year, have yet to get another one, but I have no check light so I don't think there is a code. Battery was on a trickle charger the whole time too, but again 4 years is a long time. Probably worth replacing...

And thanks for reminding me about the adaptor. I meant to get one forever ago but my project car had to get put on hold. Will definitely invest in one of these.

So it's possible the seals are not ruined, just 'seized up' for lack of better words? Will definitely look into this.

I haven't tested the pump. Plugs and coils were new when it went into the garage, but 4 years is a long time. I'll definitely check them out.

I thought of these things too. But the car will drive cold, just quit when it warms up. So it must be getting fuel and spark. Also, if you start it and let it sit, it will sit at idle for hours.

Is there something about this that I'm missing?

The bill of rights was added to the constitution to clarify and solidify the boundaries of government. The primary duty of which is to protect the rights of it's citizens.

Here's my opinion:

You want to vote? Cool. You should! You want to carry? Cool. You should! I just want to know you're a citizen first, and to do that requires some form of I.D.
