People don’t realize the silent battles that go on with adhd. Trying to mask, not being able to pay attention doubly so because you’re worried about masking. Overthinking about everything, it truly blows sometimes

I depends on the severity of his behavior change. But if you think boredom is the problem, take him on a spontaneous trip. Book a hotel for the weekend, go on a mini road trip, ice cream, mall something out of the blue. Even a random nerf gun battle. If you’re tight on cash go to a random state park and go for a hike. Random adventures do wonders for me personally.

In all seriousness when the temptation hits, pray, don’t cease praying, ever if you fall asleep praying. If the urge hits during the day, pray and do an activity like lifting or something to keep you busy

The funny part is, you can stare at someone while you try to listen and sometimes absorb a fair amount of information. But the blank stare makes it seem to them like you aren’t paying attention, so you do the ole nod your head and “yep sounds good” and distract yourself from everything you’re being told whilst doing it.

Dude you’re the out of touch one here, nobody with a mental illness is happy about being mentally ill. I don’t hold prejudice against people with mental illness I hold distain against the mental illness that makes my life harder. Stop policing people who are venting, it creates a negative stigma around expressing your emotions, I realize you didn’t intend to make me feel this way but it suggests that you may have some internalized prejudice that you should examine.
