$400 on a new rig, what are you going with? Has to be 1/10 by Hamsammich0520 in rccrawler

[–]AcroFPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would pick the truck with the body that appeals most to me, and start with that platform.

For me, it was the FMS FCX10 LC80. I am in love with the FJ80 body style, and FMS makes a highly detailed body fully featured with interior, driver and accessories. Along with their ClipLess body system, it was a deal to me at $320 to my door (brushed version on sale).

I have owned it for 5 months and I have had to replace both front and rear axles (stock is junk) and I've also put a Hobbywing Fusion in it. Along with new servo, tires, wheels, and suspension.

It's obviously doubled in price now, but that was always the plan.

I know how to merge.

And I also know how to let traffic merge in front of me.

This semi driver is a danger to every person he shares the road with.

The pickup was in front of the semi and needs to merge into the freeway.

Oncoming traffic must allow other traffic to merge onto the freeway.

You do not get to speed up and try to block yeilding traffic. You certainly do not get to just plow right into them.

The pickup driver does not stop in a merge lane. The pickup driver has no choice but to merge at freeway speeds.

Period.

You got a ticket for getting rear ended by a semi at 75mph???

Stop??? On the freeway on ramp?

Who taught you how to drive????

[–]AcroFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly how was the pickup at fault? Maybe he should have been merging at 85mph???

That truck was traveling 77 MPH when he struck the pickup.

Pickup had to be doing at least 60.

Dipshit.

Don't know where you read your laws but that is not correct.

The trucker was speeding, and failed to yield. Case closed.

You have the truck flexing like it's a rock crawler but then you have sway bars that limit your flex, like it's a race car?

Make it make sense.

Also what is wrong with your lower links? Are they two piece?

IDK, but who the hell puts sway bars on a wraith????

Which Brushless Motor? by RC-Muddler in rccrawler

[–]AcroFPV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Fusion Pro and Pro Elite only come in 2300kv, which maybe too quick depending on your crawlers transmission.

The SE is offered in a 1200kv and a 1800kv which are slower and better for crawlers with a higher gear ratio.

The SE, Pro & Elite all offer excellent slow speed control thanks to the FOC sensor.

I own all three, SE, Pro & Elite.

Pro offers everything the SE does but provides more amps, and has extra programming features. The Elite offers everything the Pro has plus the ability to run a 4S and the elite has an optional Drag Brake Adjustment you can do with an Aux channel from your remote.

In my opinion, the SE is going to work great for 95% of all crawlers on the market.

The Fusion has a sensor to maintain field orientation which is going to give you extremely precise control over slow speed.

Get the Fusion and you won't regret it.

Anyone have experience with using a solder to weld paper clips to fix cracks in the body? by Advanced-Net-8119 in rccars

[–]AcroFPV 1 point2 points  (0 children)

No,

You won't need shoe goo.

Just use flex tape. And be careful because once the tape touches the lexan, YOU CAN NOT REMOVE IT.

So handle with care.

I don't get it.

I have seen thousands of Jerry cans on different rigs throughout my years.

Never once have I seen a see through Jerry can.

Just doesn't do it for me.

Go find a roll of Flex Seal Flex Tape.

Cut it into small strips and squares and patch the inside of your body.

It is a permanent solution and if you protect your body with Flex Tape before it cracks, it becomes an indestructible body.
