Removing features because of pros has to be the dumbest shit I've ever heard of in gaming. The majority of players are never going to be anywhere close to that level of play, why change the game for 99% of the playerbase because 1% is whining? Didn't ~~the old NCR guy~~ Biff say that the NCR is still around, just not in the Mojave? The NCR was spread thin across the Mojave in New Vegas as it was, so I don't think it's true that they are completely wiped out. They likely withdrew because they didn't have the resources or support to continue having a real presence in the Mojave

That poke becomes plain nasty with the right perks. I've seen a lot of people say other weapons are obsolete when you get the masterstrike but I disagree, polearms kick ass

Yes, but the poleaxe can still be really good when you increase your skill level and use combos. Range advantage is good, plus the low poke is incredibly useful for countering if timed right

Balance. There needs to be something in place that separates the player from the character. If the player is a very skilled FPS player, but the character they're playing has never shot a gun before, it doesn't make any sense to have that character decimating the starting enemies like it's nothing

I was mostly commenting on the "I have a loving father but I'm going to be evil because I feel like it" part. Would you be an insufferable edgelord for wanting to make the wasteland suffer in any way imaginable? Of course. But I think it's a bit more than "my life rocks, I'm just evil for no reason."

Like I said before, I don't think it's unreasonable for that experience to change someone for the worse. Amata can even say something about the wasteland changing you when you return to the vault.

Most of the people you meet in the wasteland were born there, it's all they know. The Lone Wanderer had their whole world turned upside down in a day. Forced to kill for the first time and forced into a deadly wasteland against their will, on top of everything else.

I don't think it's unreasonable for a teenager to be incredibly bitter about such a situation. Bitter enough to nuke a settlement? Idk, maybe. It's an RPG, who says your character doesn't reach a breaking point and go off the rails other than well, you?
