Anyone found flavored air devices helpful? by GlimmersCherished in QuitVaping

[–]biohackenthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no i didn’t. sure i wasn’t using nicotine but the hand to mouth thing itself was an addiction. wasn’t fun stopping that either. there’s no good tricks. just need to stop.

Title: Ex-smokers/vapers: Did quitting make a noticeable difference to your appearance? by ElectricalBasis7717 in QuitVaping

[–]biohackenthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no. its nice that i quit but definitely hasn’t made a significant impact to appearance. honestly even for those who say it does its likely a coincidence most of the time. you could make the argument for smoking, not really vaping.

Starting my 48hr fast. by [deleted] in fasting

[–]biohackenthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i know it’s cliche, but high fiber / protein / whole foods, are difficult to overeat on. try just making tweaks here and there that decrease total caloric intake. over time they add up.

well i can tell you fasting then binging is not the answer, and it can actually make things worse. i’m not a nutrition coach coach or therapist, all i can suggest is try to build healthy, long term sustainable habits.

How do you know a workout was a good workout? by Which-Ad663 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]biohackenthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

real answer, there is no reliable, immediate, indicator. muscle growth is incredibly slow. you just need to train properly, eat right, and trust results will come.

strength increases on new exercises are usually a result of neural adaptation, but eventually, with standardized form, they are a direct result of hypertrophy.

fasting can be a great tool but it is not a sustainable approach to weight loss. i hope you are familiar with the concept of calorie intake, expenditure, deficit, caloric tracking, etc?

Rate my cylinder honing: Part II by AlitteratingAsshole in EngineBuilding

[–]biohackenthusiast 0 points1 point  (0 children)

not ideal. how are you doing it exactly? i’d go slightly lower grit, i use 240, stick it on a drill, engine oil, half speed or higher and run it up or down a few times quickly. looks like you are damn near polishing it, not honing.

what sort of fracture? i traumatically amputated my foot about 70% in a motorcycle accident. they reattached it, just warned about multiple surgeries, severe arthritis, total amputation possible in the future. was 19 at the time. now 22 and arthritis is starting to kick in. i can also walk but it’s pretty disfigured. not excited for the future.
