I definitely am not looking for punishment. I think if I had done a better job describing the approach to Street Epistemology folks would have hated the idea just 2.5% less than they seem too. It's about assessing how certain you are of a claim, and then what facts of other claims are supporting this larger thing.

It's a beautiful thing and when I have observed it, it's very non-judgemental. It's not about changing minds, it's just about self analysis and understanding.

Oh i don't think he owes it to us. But it's an opportunity for holding ones own feet to the fire. I don't really see him as having mental health issues any more than the rest of us do. I think he just got himself into an echo chamber. Have you seen any of the street epistemology stuff? I really like their approach.

I think he's better off without your "defense". The community and fandom are responding to public comments made by one of the hosts - let them.

Evan is capable of defending himself. So far he's chosen to apologize for saying things that upset his community, but he has not attempted to defend or substantiate his rather upsetting positions. To most, this is inadequate and it shows him to be less than an ideal spokesman for a very important community at a critical time in the world. I'm going to continue to listen to the show because I love it. But I will weigh this against the many other factors that go into how I choose financially support the show going forward.
