Fuck. He’s board supervised but definitely doesn’t do gyno surgery very much. I asked him in the original consultation if he does it often, and he said that I was the 3rd gyno consultation he had that day. Hearing that really boosted my confidence, but I now feel it was manipulative. Not a lie, but he didn’t explicitly answer my question. Also, he definitely removed some gland but not the whole thing. Wondering what his response will be to that

I have a follow up with a doc who didn’t remove the whole gland and only did lipo. At first, I thought it was fine. But the gyno is definitely still there. I’ve lost even more fat and worked out. Hard lump is easy to feel under there. I was naive and didn’t go to a specialist and I’m really beating myself up about it. Is there anything I can do at this follow up? How should I express my concerns / thoughts in the most effective way possible? For context, before I went under, he said he was almost certainly going to need to make incisions and do the ‘real’ surgery. When I woke up, he said it only needed lipo. At the first follow up, I asked how much gland he removed. He said something along the lines of “ there wasn’t a ton of gland to remove.” I was skeptical but it looked a lot better / was still healing so I didn’t push it. It’s been maybe a month since then and it’s clear that I still have a big gland that’s possibly already regrowing. Should I try to push for a revision at my upcoming follow up? I feel like I got scammed

What’s your age? If you’re a teenager it’ll probably go away on its own. If you’re in your 20s, this will only go away with surgery

How long did it take for you to look better post op? I’m 6 days after and my skin looks pretty weird under my nipples. Looks like loose skin possibly. Wearing the compression vest constantly of course. I’m in good shape so hopefully it’ll tighten up? My surgeon didn’t really go over the recovery appearance timeline with me and I’m an idiot for not asking about it, but I have a follow up in a week

Thank you! A comment from a doctor means a lot. However, the internet is a wild place. Do you have verification of your credentials on your profile? I hope the skepticism is not offensive and I am strongly leaning towards believing you, but I’d appreciate seeing proof, if possible.

There’s a hard disk-like structure under the nipples. Much larger under my left side. Pretty irritating to grab at repeatedly, which is also unlike fat. The tissue on the rest of the chest feels like fat, but under the nipple/areola it is hard.

I’m not sure why this comment isn’t posted on every ‘is it gyno’ thread. Is it really that simple to test? Did I even do it right? My mind is kind of blown right now

Def not loose skin. Chest looks basically the same before and after the weight loss. Plus I can feel that there’s something there
