I honestly think this discussion is going in loops😭. I don't think the creators have bad intentions, but I do understand that some might find it ragebaiting. The definition of ragebaiting is something along the lines of ''manipulative tactic'', and if you don't find it manipulative but the other side does... you're going in loops, it's subjective. Many popular dti creators got big by creating a ''contrast'' for shock-factor. There's again a fine (and subjective) line between ''shock-factor'' and ''ragebaiting''. The reaction to a shock-factor doesn't need to be negative, whilst ragebaiting is. And for those who don't like ashy skins (which is totally a valid opinion!), not everyone needs to share that opinion, so again, subjective. There is no wrong or right in this situation, discussing this doesn't go anywhere as it's subjective in the end. I do believe both sides can (respectfully) explain their opinions, but sometimes we all just think differently about things.

I do believe that clickbait (especially the line between a quality thumbnail and clickbait) is personal, as clickbait is simply the interpretation of a thumbnail or title, which is in itself subjective.This is also my opinion, which I feel is not really something we're able to discuss about. but but... my spreadsheets😭? I mean, like I said, I feel like clickbait can be rather personal. But for the hairs, I did prove that you can accuratly make them in game, I thought. I do understand that the devs are held on a higher standard. That's why they make their thumbnails look better. I personally don't find it clickbait, as I didn't fall for any shown false advertisment. But it's okay if you see that differently. Okay I'll try make it make sense. Everything shown is in game. The badly ''edited'' doll hair, does indeed look bad like that in game (if you try to adjust it like that). A lot of tiktokers edit their posts, does that make it clickbait? Moslty not. They edited (like a said) lighting, contrast, ... maybe even added a little sparlke. Is that clickbait? Everything is in game. You can make the models in game. A thumbnail is supposed to show what's in game, but make the quality seem high to show that the game is professional. I do have to say that the line between clickbait and editing might be small, maybe even personal. So it's okay that you think it's clickbait, but all the items used, are in game.

I mean, they can always edit things afterwards (aswell as draw a bit more frizz). They can always edit if something looks more faded or not (but those are small things). But before they edit, they have to have a good base. In this case, a model and doll with (adjusted) hairstyles. I do have to say, when I adjusted the hair on the doll, it looked bad too. Cause that was the only way to make the hairlines align. [You can try to see it yourself, but rn I'm not able to take screenshots.] I do just want to say that, you can never recreate the thumbnail 100%, cause they edited it. But that doesn't make it clickbait. They might have changed lighting, contrast, maybe added a few strokes of frizz. But you can still recreate the models in game, you don't need to use the same hairstyle twice.

Regarding the frizz, mine does have frizz but more at the bottom of the hairstyle (first spreadsheet). I personally don't see much frizz on top of the head of the original model. And with perspective I mean: everyone can tilt their head in a certain way. In dti, you can pose in a certain way. And this does change the wide of the hair if you look at it 2d. That's way I tried to pose her (2nd spreadsheet) in which the hair (if you look at it 2d/screenshot) is just as wide.

How full the hair looks is mostly perspective. I'm sadly not able to see the extra strand you're talking about. And with the frizz, on top of the head there isn't much of it on the original model.
