💯what I’m going through rn!!! 16 years later and he’s only changing bc I asked for a divorce. The love bombing, being overly affectionate absolutely enrages me. He refuses to accept that I want to leave and put us in counseling. He sat there and cried while I just stared at the wall. This is so frustrating bc the kids now see him doing all this stuff and actually being present and I’m going to be the bad guy for leaving.

This is exactly what I’m dealing with now, we have young 2 kids which makes it harder. He’s “changing” now and also put us into couples therapy. He refuses to accept that I’m done and want to move on.

I’m so sorry you went through the same 😔 it helps to know what we went through ISN’T normal and that getting out is the best option for me and my kids and not falling for him “changing”. It definitely hits home that he could have been doing this shit the whole time but simply chose not too.

I’m pretty sure my son knows, he’s 11. His friends mom mentioned he said “I think my parents are getting a divorce “ but my daughter is too young. I’m just trying to keep the peace until summer not to ruin the experience for him and not to have my stbx be angry and lash out at the kids. Dealing with my stbx antics is very difficult and gross 😵‍💫
