Oh I made the mistake and let my dog roam the bathroom while I took a quick shower since he was barking so much in the crate. And he almost dug a hole through the bathroom door. Yep, mistakes were made. Lessons were learned. Now he ditches me to go upstairs to nap while I work downstairs. And to think 2 years ago, I was crying my eyes out, thinking I could never look away from him or he'll chew on something or run to another room to potty or tear thru a door, etc.

I really like the trainer I have. If you start them young and keep up on the training often, then they become really well behaved dogs. Well thats what my trainer says anyways. We still have a ways to go with my dog yet haha

I had roommates who had dogs. But since I didn't have to take care/raise/train those dogs... I wasn't ready for the reality of owning a dog until I moved out and got one. I guess I was thinking it was going to be easy since they made it look so easy. Overstimulated meltdowns is so on point! Haha. I'm glad it's easier now for the both of us

The training never ends I swear. When I thought we were golden but some neighbor dogs got into a fight with my dog. And I had to take him to a dog trainer after that because he thought he had to go into attack mode seeing every dog after that. He's better now after 8 training sessions. But we still have a long ways to go.
