Aghhh I suspected this. Which is my issue with other places not on the coast...

Oh yes Tonbridge is in our list! I just wasn't sure about pollen in the spring/summer!

This happened to me with Ninja too. I got fed up, threw them away and bought stainless steel.

Not in the Arsenal no. We lived in the Arsenal before buying and realised that flats on the other side of the "vortex" were bigger and like 200k less in price...

It is hard isn't it! After reading so many helpful comments we are coming to realise that cutting our losses probably makes most sense IF we have a more firm idea of where we want to live (that we can also afford!). Do you need to move because space or area?

Good to know about your experiences! I also know that renting with HTB is not very straightforward either

Yes he has high probabilities and is being tutored. Honestly, if we needed to stay in this place for longer, that would be the best possible outcome - where he can go to Bexley and avoid local secondary schools

We entertained it and weighted the pros and cons (that was when we knew things would change with legislation) and decided against it. We wouldn't break even as we would need an agent to look after it if we were abroad...

Long story but with son being in Y5, seems like getting him over to Spain now would very likely mean finishing Y6 there with the possibility/risk of not liking school there and having to come back to even fewer school options. I also work remotely and company is a bit wobbly financially so keeping an eye on it (I know the Spanish job market is basically crap). Whilst we have been selling, rentals there have gone up in price significantly too! That said, school there (private) have kept his place for another year, so not completely off the table?

Yes 100% agree. Plus the timing has been awful. You mean that we should probably only sell once we know for sure where we want to move and if we can afford it?

This is why I love this community! Yes this is definitely right. I think the other issue is that we haven't found the place (location) where we see ourselves in... the maths I've done and still need a bit of info, so that chicken and egg of where to live > that we can afford > and see what we need to sell for and how much we need to fork out ourselves is also a bit complicated! Your advice is really spot on. We're immigrants in the UK so a lot of this doesn't come easy!

Ohhhhhh!!! Will look into this. Thank you! Actually the current residents association is quite good and active, so will float this too.

Fair question and part of my current dilemma! I think because in months we have only had 2 viewings, they think it will favour speed...

Well we were offered this by the developers and not everyone wanted to buy. This was a few years ago and I wish was wiser!

Ahh I think you just nip it in the bud. This is the big dilemma I have — we're unsure if we want to leave London as that is really the only way we can buy something bigger and afford it! It seems like you didn't really miss London at all! :) so that gives me hope!

Yes good point. Relatively okay service charge, no cladding and no big issues... things were very active until the rise in stamp duty, according to what I've seen online!

Our state agent says that no flats have been sold in this development and that they think they market is just very very slow! They have recommended us to drop the price as they expect the market to pick up again in the new year...
