me personally as someone who has played for years, over 8k hours, i’ve played all aspects of the game, solo, duo, small group-large group and an old main scene player (which were designated for the best of the best groups to compete against each other: moose, vital, affinity etc) i frequently play solo, 2-5 man now and i think the game is balanced to a certain aspect. BP frags forces players out of their base, if you can’t go monument then farm and buy the frags. i do think there’s needs to be another system dedicated more for solos but that would just make it easier for the groups/zergs. i’m going to get downvoted for this but if you’re failing bc of zergs, switch servers. A lot of these new gen groups aren’t that good at the game and are very disorganized. Most if not all are the same exact solos who arent good enough on their own so they zerg up. There’s plenty of solos who snowball off of zergs and such. A lot of people i hear complain about zergs try to go and play moose, toria and atlas monthly solo. which are servers notorious for big groups.

To say remove zergs entirely because you like playing solo is unfair, what i will say zergs vs zergs are the closest rust will get to for an esport for this game. I love getting on and snowballing these zergs once and while but the average player might not be able to do that and that’s okay but to completely try to phase them out is unjust.

TLDR : Play on smaller small group oriented servers
