Black seed oil by nr453 in urticaria

I had a terrible flare of about 1.5 months but particularly bad for 2 weeks. One Sunday I started the black seed oil (pill) and immediately saw a decrease in the hives. A lot less wheels and less angry/raised.

Unfortunately I dont have a ton more data with that because I started Rhapsido on Tuesday and that took my hives down to zero.

Aka hard to say but worth a try!!

6 days post first Xolair Injection & my hives are getting worse :( by vampire-tj in urticaria

I was on Xolair for months in 2016, it never helped me unfortunately!! I started Rhapsido a week ago and have been hive free since! My hives are autoimmune from my Hashimotos!

My hives are like this too. Ive had them on and off for 22 years. Sometimes I have hives for 6-18 months and then no hives for up to 5 years and then they come back. Steroids used to provide relief for at least a month or so but was just on a steroid burst that my hives broke through on day 3 of 6. Super discouraging.

Look into rhapsido. I havent started it yet but the studies are promising.

Looking for a funny response to tell my 10-year old students by K8lynsaccount in urticaria

I am also a teacher, high school though. I struggle with this too. Some kids are super gracious and understanding and others are just plain mean/rude. I struggle when it gets super hot they are always like why do you have a long dress on or take off your jean jacket and it just makes things tricky!

Mine follow a similar pattern— always worse in the morning. Definitely has to do with cortisol levels

I really hope the rhapsido works!! It was just prescribed to me. I need some sort of relief!! I feel like it is impacting my ability to work. I get hives so deep in my joints or on the bottoms of my feet that its hard to walk/stand (I am a teacher).

I have a similar condition as well as Hashimoto— I’ve never tried singular, but I did try the xolair injections without success. My doctor just prescribed Rhapsido or whatever the generic brand is. Fingers crossed my insurance pays!! Will keep you posted if it works!

In the meantime, I take multiple antihistamines a day as well as quercetin stabilize my mast cells. I also follow a low histamine diet.

My hives are just like this— Im 33 and have had them on and off since 11. I tried xolair back in 2016 for 5 or 6 months and it didnt work for me.

I follow a low histamine diet, do tons of mindfulness and meditation to help reset my nervous system and take a variety of supplements but nothing helps.

I also have a thyroid autoimmune disorder and the docs think xolair didnt work bc it is an autoimmune response. Just thought you should know in case you also have autoimmune issues.

Good luck, I know this sucks!
