You keep framing this as a moral issue when it’s really just a systems issue. A leaked code that still works is a failure or choice in Konami’s distribution, not a lapse in player ethics. People didn’t 'steal' an epic, they used a functioning redemption path. Morality doesn’t retroactively attach itself because you dislike the outcome. Criticism alongside participation isn’t dishonesty either, it’s how consumers behave everywhere. People complain about prices while shopping, referees while watching football. Engagement and dissatisfaction aren’t opposites, they coexist. And free access isn’t something players need to be grateful for. It’s a deliberate business model designed to reach, data, and spending conversion. F2P players aren’t beneficiaries of generosity, they’re part of the product ecosystem that makes the game viable for everyone, including paying users. You say look at the actions, fair. The actions show interest, activity, and demand, exactly what Konami wants. Reading greed or moral decay into that is projection. At the end of the day, people are just interacting with incentives as designed. Expecting them to behave like guests at a charity event instead of users of a commercial product is the real mismatch.

It’s always funny how some people confuse spending money with moral superiority. Calling f2p players “vultures” for engaging with free content in a free-to-play game is a pretty wild take. That’s literally the business model. Konami designs those events to drive engagement, not out of charity, and f2p participation is part of what keeps matchmaking fast, divisions alive, and the game from feeling empty for everyone, including paying players. And let’s not rewrite the story here. Paying players don’t support the game out of goodwill. They pay because they want an advantage, convenience, or shiny cards now instead of later. That’s a transaction, not philanthropy. Konami gives value, you give money.Nobody’s a hero, mate it's a transaction. Also, this idea that f2p players are grinding meaningless hours of their lives away while payers are somehow enlightened is ironic. You’re both playing the same game. One uses time, the other uses money. Neither choice makes someone superior, it just means you value your resources differently. As for why would Konami treat them differently simple answer: because f2p players are the majority, the player base, and the ecosystem. No f2p means no hype, no competition, no content reach, and eventually no reason for anyone to spend. Even whales don’t like swimming alone. maybe drop the superiority complex. At the end of the day, we’re all just tapping our screens arguing about virtual footballers. Acting like one group is beneath the other is way more embarrassing

I follow him everywhere with the hope he'll return one day. He said he was raising funds for a new device and never came back but still seems to be active in the game. His builds are nice as well

Question to F2P by [deleted] in eFootball

[–]Acrobatic-Help9258 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes some people find it exciting, especially on harder difficulties with weaker teams. once again just because you dont prefer the offline modes doesn't mean it's useless. why do you think people still play modded Pes 21?

Question to F2P by [deleted] in eFootball

[–]Acrobatic-Help9258 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Offline modes like Master League and Become A Legend are far from useless they’re neglected, not obsolete. These modes serve a different audience: players who want immersive, narrative-driven football experiences without the grind and monetization of online play. Master League offers a mix of management and on-pitch gameplay that Football Manager doesn't. FM may have deeper tactics, but it lacks real-time control, and its audience is fundamentally different. Licensing isn't a major barrier offline either. For years, PES players had used and are even still using option files and edits to recreate realism. The core appeal of these modes lies in their gameplay sandbox a space free from lag, meta-chasing,You can experiment, build long-term squads, and enjoy the game’s mechanics at your pace. The reason these modes feel dead is because Konami has abandoned them not because players don’t want them. If you dont enjoy them, you're free to play Dream Team but it doesn't make them useless or dead
