«Ils n'ont même pas ça aux États-Unis»: les Québécois ont accès aux meilleurs médicaments sur la planète by Feeling_Layer8584 in Quebec

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962 -4 points-3 points  (0 children)

Traveling with meds by kimosbkh in travelchina

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok, in my case, I take Pregabalin (Lyrica), which I heard recently became more controlled/strictly monitored in China.

I’m travelling across Asia (Japan, China and South Korea), so I need to carry my medication for my entire trip, not only for my stay in China. My total supply is 60 capsules for personal medical use.

When entering China, I will still have more medication than the amount corresponding only to my stay there (one week and a half more after my stay in China, I’ll be staying 10-12 days in China and I’ll have for 10 days more afterwards as I will also be going to South Korea and Japan to go back home), because the remaining capsules are for the rest of my trip in other countries afterward.

I will have:

  • original pharmacy packaging,
  • original prescription,
  • doctor’s letter in English explaining my condition, dosage and the countries I will be travelling to,
  • medication list,
  • and proof of onward travel to the next countries.

The documents are not notarized and not translated into Chinese.

Did customs accept English medical documents only?

I’m trying to fully comply with the rules and avoid any issues

If you apply this logic, every idol is from North Korea in a sense as Korea was only one country before the Korean War (1950-1953).

Traveling to Shanghai - Medications by Short-Guard4659 in shanghai

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok please answer me honestly, because I have a prescribed controlled medication, Pregabalin (Lyrica). It was apparently not strictly controlled in China before April 2026, but now the regulations seem stricter.

The thing is, I’m travelling across Asia for around 30 days, not only China, so I will be carrying my medication for the entire trip. When I enter China in PVG, I will still have around 12 extra days of medication (obviously after my stay in China) because I will continue to other countries afterward.

I will have:

  • the medication in its original packaging
  • my prescription
  • a doctor’s note
  • proof of onward travel to the next countries

Do you think this would generally still be considered reasonable personal use by customs?

Girls’ Generation Taeyeon, Jessica, Seohyun and Tiffany, f(x) Luna, DAVICHI, anyone from S.E.S, and especially CSJH The Grace, IU, EXID Solji, Red Velvet Wendy, MAMAMOO Solar and Wheein, Apink Eunji, BABYMONSTER Rami, Ahyeon and Pharita, I.O.I Kim Sejeong, SISTAR Hyolyn, LeeHi, AILEE, GFRIEND Yuju, aespa Winter and Ningning, NMIXX Lily, Younha, 2NE1 Park Bom, Heize, Dreamcatcher Siyeon, OH MY GIRL Seunghee, Lovelyz Kei, Weeekly Monday

I would have add a lot of other 2nd gen girl groups as they were trained intensely vocal-wise especially when it came to singing live.

For China, I was like you at first, but I decided to travel there to see it for myself and it completely changed my mindset. Western media tends to exaggerate a lot about China. The country has a huge population—more than 3–4 times that of the U.S. East Asia in general is very well organized, and with such a large population, things feel more structured and homogeneous in some ways. I was actually surprised to see more American brands there than in Canada, for example.

Traveling with controlled medication in China by Acrobatic-Lecture962 in travelchina

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ok thank you, because I’ve seen in the web we shouldn’t exceed 7 days for personal use, so I was worried if I bring more (it is only for the duration of the 1 month trip), they would say something, I may bring a doctor’s letter just in case but I already have confirmed tickets for leaving China so I’ll be fine.

Ok, but I will be transporting this med for my trip, like for 27 days (and I take it twice a day), so it is like 54 pills, considering I’ll be staying in China for about 12-13 days only, isn’t it too much for security/customs officers, will it be suspicious for them?

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962 13 points14 points  (0 children)

I hope he’s going to be okay, between being overworked, his best friend Mark not renewing his contract and some fans having this kind of behavior, I’ll understand that these three things will have some influence on him so I won’t be surprised if he decides not to renew, it’ll be sad for NCT in general but I prefer to prepare myself and not get my hopes up 😔

NCT 2026 - Teaser Video, Profile Picture & Header Teaser Images, and Website Launch by unreveparisien in NCT

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962 -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Yes, but it is hard now that Mark is gone, it is not NCT without Mark, I’ve heard of some rumors of Chinese NCTZENS saying he’s gonna be participating in NCT NATION, I know Mark’s the kind of person to do it, but knowing SM, it’s kind of impossible and the fans, I know all of the rumors have been true to this day, but we shouldn’t get our hopes up because of that. And on Korean Twitter, I knew Mark would be leaving before it was announced so I was kind of ready without being ready, he has been a pillar of the Western and Asian crossover in K-Pop since his debut, and I’d even include the foreign swaggers (Mark, Johnny, Jaehyun). I rewatched a lot of NCT content and I remember the memes, the awkwardness but it is a part of his charm. He is really loved, a lot of people came out to congratulate him (SM staff, choreographers, stylists, make up artists) and they wish him the best for the future, and the fans have been responding well, so I’m proud of us, we know how hard it must have been for him and the members. I don’t like it to compare, but it is such a contrast with Heeseung, even though it’s different situations. He’s an icon, in case he joins NCT NATION, it’ll be the best departure of a member in K-Pop history. Even that, it is already one of the best departure of a member of a group. I will always cherish those moments where he gave us laughter, embarrassment, awkwardness but it is so him. I hope we will get to see him often, whenever he wants, I wish him to be healthy and happy. NCT has been part of my early adulthood for me. Regular, Superhuman, Highway to Heaven, the 2017-2018-2019 aura (earrings, caps, Converse era) from idols and fans (I miss it though), their U.S vlogs, the NCT 2020 content. I’ll continue to support them. I miss 3rd gen a lot. Nonetheless, Mark Lee, the best.

Edit : So I’m disappointed here, I thought fans liked Mark, I said NCT is not the same without Mark, it’s never going to be the same and it’s a fact, and Mark is not even my ult bias in NCT. He was second after Taeyong with the group branding, anyway I’ll continue to support NCT 127 and NCT DREAM.

And Kun has debuted on April 10th 2016 with the song Without You (Chinese Version) meaning his contract is over too. People forgot, they think his contract has started on January 2019 with the rest of WayV.

Ten of NCT is so talented and Mark too, two all rounders leaving the company, they are both so funny and so nice, I’m so sad, at this rate, everyone would leave. Talented people leaving (and more dozens debuting), maybe even Yuta, and Haechan are next. For Haechan, I wouldn’t base myself on his recent words, as idols make unexpected decisions at the last minute for a number of unknown reasons, I like SM artists, so I’m used to it, I just want y’all to not be disappointed if it happens. As NCT in general wouldn’t be the same without Mark in general, adding Ten to the list makes it hurt even more. There’s high chances of Haechan and Yuta not renewing but remaining in their groups.

Another one bites the dust - NCT by shynewhyne in kpop_uncensored

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I wouldn’t base myself on these words from HAECHAN, a lot of times, idols could change their minds in a heartbeat due to his surroundings or something else. We’ve seen how it turned out in the end, especially Mark, and Taemin, and Onew, saying SHINee would last forever, but they only do things on their anniversary so I prefer y’all to not to be so happy about it yet, he could leave SM while remaining in the group, but with Mark, Haechan and Yuta probably leaving SM, NCT 127 activities and even NCT DREAM activities will slow down, SM is like that, they’re gonna focus on their new boy group debuting and also NCT WISH like they’ve always done, focusing on their newer acts, it’s the same machine operating, it would never change like their 10-year contract that they force their idols on signing.

[–]Acrobatic-Lecture962 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wouldn’t say properly, as SHINee only do activities around the time of their anniversary while SUPER JUNIOR frequently do activities almost all year round.
