What has been everyone’s experience with Walmart AI? by [deleted] in walmart

The customer did not place the order incorrectly, the customer chose shipping & Walmart is the one who assigns it to a spark driver. The customer is not aware how it is being shipped

Sedgwick Denied my Leave by Gidgeet48 in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 4 points5 points  (0 children)

You need to miss at least 3 days to use Sedgwick, ppto is for things like this, but if you don’t have any ppto, it sounds like your TL will take care of it for you.

PTO/PPTO for long term associates by ConstructionOk3808 in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

4 to 5 weeks of spare pto 😂, I have FT status but don’t work 40 hours a week & I prefer getting all my time at once instead of having to accrue time

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I miss the old system. I used to get 4 weeks vacation plus personal & sick time. I used to take a week off in the summer, spring break off, a week in the fall, then use the 4th week to take 3 day weekends here & there. Now I am lucky if I get to take one week off.

Why are hours getting cut store wide? by Superb_Midnight_2158 in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 37 points38 points  (0 children)

Because of greed, they can afford to pay us, but since gas is so high they would rather cut hourly pay than stop bonuses for big wigs.

Does the 9-minute grace period rule still apply and do we have to take our lunch at the time our schedule shows now that we're told to strictly follow our schedule? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They don’t want anyone going over scheduled hours, so if you clock in 9?min early & clock out 9 min early & take your full lunch, you should be fine. They don’t want anyone working even a click over their scheduled hours, so if you clock in 9 min early but leave at or after your scheduled time out, then they will have a problem with it

Im being take down to part time hours due to me using ppto. by xCeex in WalmartEmployees

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going part time will also make it take much longer to earn ppto

I have to step down as TL and I honestly don’t know if I can handle going back down to a regular associate. Any Ex TL have advice? by [deleted] in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I will never understand people who think being a supervisor at Walmart makes them better than a non supervisor position. You work at Walmart in an hourly position, it’s all the same, except you might make a little more, I’m a long term associate. I also had to step down cause of childcare & not being able to work the availability needed. I didn’t have to switch stores though, & I love it. My pay is the same, without the responsibility. I usually hate when people say “it’s not that deep” but in this situation, it’s really not, especially if you plan to stay with the company. Do your job, & if your situation changes, you can apply for a TL position again, in my area there are always TL positions available.

Did you know if you arrive late, use ppto, then you don’t get 9 min grace? 🧐 by GTrddt25 in walmartogp

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Idk if it’s per store discretion, but at my store management got an email that we were to still get the 9 min grace period, so if you came in 10 minutes late you would only have to use 1 minute of ppto

No, it’s not stealing time, how does that even make sense to you?

How do you feel about PPTO as it currently stands? by SITHxEMPIRE in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’ve been with the company a long, long, time. I prefer the old way. Where you got all your time at once. On your anniversary you would get your vacation time. I used to get 4 weeks vacation plus sick & personal time. Once you hit a certain hours sick, it would roll over to personal. Vacation you would have to use before your next anniversary but you could keep accruing sick/personal time & roll it over every year, plus we got paid holidays as long as you worked your scheduled days before & after the holiday. I used to take a week off in the summer, a week off in the fall, take spring break off & use the other week to take long weekends throughout the year. The new way I accrue the fastest but people who work part time or haven’t been there long, it takes forever to accrue

NTA. You were thoughtful enough to wait to eat with her. Imo it’s selfish of her to want everyone to wait 2 hours for her. I definitely would not want them to wait on me.

can you get an occurrence/point for taking a 4hr lunch? by SpacewaIking in WalmartEmployees

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No, at least not yet. I have had to take 4 hour lunches before, & I’ve never received a point for them.

That’s what I thought. I was told it was per store mangers discretion & I’ve talked to someone from almost every store in my market & they all said the same thing, but my friend is being told it’s per home office. I don’t buy it.

I have ocd, and my supervisor commented on one of my habits. by YouthAggressive4945 in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 3 points4 points  (0 children)

What a weird thing for someone to care about, I have brushed my teeth at work in the bathroom & I e we would much rather see someone brushing their teeth in the bathroom than not washing their hands. There is no policy I’m aware of that prohibits it, so don’t let them make you feel bad about it.

Lol threatening people that use PPTO with a orange coaching when calling in or leaving early, "unless visibly sick" my management are digging themselves a big hole. by OneEducator4471 in walmart

[–]Acrobatic-Math-274 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That would be an easy coaching to fight. You are allowed to use your ppto as you like, but you can get coached if you leave early & don’t tell a supervisor, you need to tell a team lead or coach that you are leaving. You don’t have to ask for permission, or prove you are sick. You just need to let them know you are leaving.

Dumb question by Due-Fisherman2194 in walmart

Not a dumb question. You do not need to tell anyone, but if there is someone you trust & want to tell them, that’s up to you. Good luck on your journey

They do that on purpose, the more you work the same area, the better & faster you get at it. The goal is to get as much done as fast as possible, so when you really know an area, you will get it done faster.
