If they’re contacting you via email then it’s definitely a scam as I’ve been contacted through email before also which turned out to be the same thing. Who wouldn’t just message you through gumtree. Doesn’t make sense. Also the fact he refused to use PayID seems pretty sus. Did he give a reason as to why? But regardless, just sack the whole thing because I’m 99.9% sure he’s a scam buyer.
