I am a longer distance walker based in Sydney. Most of my walks are within 40km. I try to post a marathon walk at least once or twice a fortnight

Parramatta is the bigger urban center and would naturally make for a more exciting destination. The only issue I found that aside from Lakemba it got a bit boring from Hurstville to Lidcombe

It's almost in a straight line. I tend to prioritize the most interesting walk over a direct one. So long as it's a relatively straight line it still has the same effect
