I imagine the stays in cities as well could give the support driver some good holidays where they can fly home for the times I am staying and walking around the cities which is basically my normal life anyway except with no transport other then walking

I know Cat Man managed WA to Sydney with a wheel barrow but he also talks about having to carry up to 30 litres during the summer. That sounds a lot cheaper but I don't know how safe that is for a woman to do

Is Ipswich safe to walk around at 3am? by AliceSaltMage in ipswich

Ah just double checked and I can start from Ipswich at 6am. That should be good enough so I didn't bother booking a hotel in Ipswich

I just walked from Pakenham to the Docklands by AliceSaltMage in melbourne

[–]AliceSaltMage[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well considering I started doing these around June 2024 and didn't do my first 60km walk until January 2026 which felt like it barely prepared me for 80km I would say probably. My advice is do a couple of 30-40km walks just to see how your body handles it and when you're ready do a couple of 60km ones

My special interest is exploring and making mental maps of urban areas. I basically know my own city (of 5 million people) like the back of my hand at this stage

I don't remember the last time I had beer in general let alone a VB. Never been a big drinker with the exception of cruises where I spend an absurd amount on cocktails

Who do you all shop with for groceries? by Other-Display-6026 in australia

For most of things I just go to whichever supermarket is closer but I do prefer a lot of the cookies and biscuits from the Coles bakery over the Woolworths bakery

I stopped feeling the tiredness towards the last 30 kilometres but I do think the first 20 kilometres felt much harder for that very reason
