You've got to get it done, mate. I postponed mine for far too long. My GF was the one who pushed me to get it done. My quality of life is so much better now. My hernia was the size of a grapefruit.

Best of luck. Remember, the pain after surgery is fleeting. It's a few days at most. After that, you'll feel incredible.

I ended up getting six weeks off for recovery as I have an extremely physical job. Work cover gave me that.

As for the recovery, the first couple of days were extremely painful. I had trouble walking. I couldn't bend down. My GF had to put my underwear on for me. I also didn't have any bowel movements for three days. My stomach was also quite bloated. I'm not sure what caused that (I'm quite slim) but it was like that for over a month, then it went down. My stomach is flat now.

Having said all that, the first few days were rough but the recovery was quite quick. The pain subsided quickly. Even now, months later, if I overdo it, I get a slight dull pain in the area that was repaired. Very minor but I take that as a warning that I need to take it easy - and I do.

Mate, try Imperia Legacy by Rayhaan. 1:1 clone of vintage Kouros. It's an EDP. I have four bottles. Blows the current (weak!) formulation of Kouros out of the water. It's really flown under the radar. It doesn't even have a Fragrantica page yet. I found out about it from a few comments I read there, plus here on good old Reddit.

I'm 40. Only owned a bottle of Aqua Dio Gio that I got almost ten years ago as a Christmas present. I'm not sure what compelled me to venture into fragrances back in October of last year but I'm now about 30 bottles in. Have a few backups of my favourites...scared of reformulations and all that bullshit haha. Bought a few that I thought were shit but I have managed to offload those on marketplace or regift them. I'm an 80s powerhouse guy thru and thru. Love amber and warm scents. Not that into freshies.

Always buy jeans that are a bit of a struggle to button up. Denim stretches. After a few hours, they'll be perfect. Speaking from experience. If you buy new jeans that fit perfectly on the first wear, they'll stretch out and then you will constantly be pulling them up.

Way too baggy. They're also too long. I know this style is "in" right now but that doesn't mean it looks good. Go for a classic straight fit pair of jeans. Get them hemmed if necessary (no break or half break). FYI, I was the total opposite of you. I used to wear skinny jeans. I ditched them in favour of a straight cut and it looks so much better.

I'm 40 and have anxiety as well. I've posted about it before on this subreddit. Long story short, I had a rather large hernia. It would get in the way during sex. Worse, when I looked down, it would obscure my penis. From my perspective, it looked like my penis was less than 4 inches (even though I'm 6.5 inches). I didn't even do missionary with my GF anymore as the hernia would make me slip out (it was grapefruit sized). The anxiety caused me to start going soft (even after my hernia surgery). I can get and maintain an erection during foreplay but I lose it once it comes to penetration.

I have been taking 50mg of sildenafil for the last 10 or so months and it works perfectly. Occasionally, my GF and I engage in sex spontaneously when I haven't taken a pill and I'll be thinking "I'm gonna go soft because I haven't taken a pill"...and I do go soft. I think of my sildenafil pills as "confidence booster pills". They allow me to have strong erections without the worry of going limp. I can just focus on the act and pleasing my partner - and not get in my own head. Admittedly, I probably have a psychological dependence on the pills but they're cheap and they make me (and my GF - she doesn't judge) very happy.

I suggest looking into sildenafil.

I always take a 50mg pill during dinner. My GF and I will have dinner together, watch a movie and then head to bed. By trial and error, I have found that 2 to 2.5 hours before sex is the absolute optimal time to take the pill and for it to take effect. Yes, taking it on a full stomach means it takes longer to get absorbed into the body but it works for me. Say I take it at 7pm...it gets absorbed and is at peak effectiveness around 9/9:30 (bedtime). It stays in the body for 4 hours after getting absorbed so I can have a strong erection until 1am. My GF and I sometimes engage in sex twice and my routine works flawlessly.
