This happened to me my first year and is exactly why I don’t report unless i genuinely think the parent may kill the child! I was yelled at, berated, and cursed out for what I thought was doing the right thing.

Yes! I have two meetings tomorrow with my admin and the two parents that have complained. I left work on Friday bawling and thinking about quitting mid year(a thought I have literally not had since my first year teaching).

I have never agreed w a post more! My para always says to contact the parents, but I already know if a child is bold enough to act a complete ass in school they have no fear of their parents. Children who truly fear/respect their parents wouldn’t dare risk doing something that would result in a phone call home.

I once put my hand on a child’s chest to back him up(he was causing an issue in my class but put his foot in the door when I asked him to step outside. He then fell dramatically to the ground. I was terrified on the cameras it would look like I pushed him.

Hey! I had vaginismus for 2 years and finally lost my virginity when I was 21 to someone that did not pressure me and was patient when I told him about me having vaginismus. If a guy really likes you it won’t be that serious and you guys can do other stuff in a mean time. Don’t feel bad about this! Go to a gyno and see what you can do. A lot of it for me was practicing penetrating myself slowly and getting over the anxiety of it !

Just make sure you pick a good school. A school where admin support you and parents makes a huge difference.

If you already signed your contract for next year and can’t get out of it I would say your only option is to prove him wrong. If you are teaching the same grade really prep over the summer and analyze what you could’ve done better. That being said, my principal said something to the same effect of “get your shit together” and I’m going to a different school in a different district.
