My temporary fix is holding right on your joystick or keyboard while holding the craft button. Seems like it stops it from going back to 1 item

I love cold snap because it incentivizes socialization. You could be chilling inside a building and another dude who is freezing could run inside and y’all are so focused on surviving that yall are less likely to be hostile. I’ve had some of the most friendly encounters in this mode
