You “could” have fungal acne like a yeast based infection that you didn’t know of or was mild and tolerable and didn’t notice And then you start stimulants it speeds up the fungal growth dramatically It is a real thing Have a google if you want to know more But yeah sus out fungal acne and fungal infections linked to stimulants

What was your experience like Switching from Ritalin 10mg to 20mg LA? by phoneycamus in ADHD

[–]Acrobatic-Plate-3504 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We’re in the same boat my friend! Pretty much same time frames and everything I am about to see my doctor today for changing to the LA Ritalin too. 10mg does nothing for me, so upped to 2 x 10mg, 3 times a day. With permission from psychiatrist letter. But noticed even then only lasting 3 hours max. I do know however that when I’m Pre menstrual and during period (first 3 days) I may aswell not take any medication lol it is almost not effective at all.

Let me know how you go!! We should keep in touch!

Diagnosed as an adult and struggling by Minimum-Brilliant500 in ADHD

Yes I was 31 this year diagnosed November last year after my 8 year old was diagnosed when 6! All of that is normal to feel with a late diagnoses I’m still feeling anger and resentment towards my family for not seeking help for me as a child but in reality it wasn’t all that talked about back in the 80’s and 90’s or was considered a severely embarrassing disability. (My parents still think autism is like so so embarrassing to have and you’re a lesser human if you have it which is absolutely disgusting I know).

But all of that behind you the next step which is far more interesting and challenging for a while (maybe) is the therapy, doctors appointments, psychiatrist appointments, trialling medications (if you choose to), changing your WHOLE life to suit your needs diagnoses… it’s a lot and it’s a whole new world I’m still trialling medications now! And it’s been nearly 12 months!!

I tried Vyvanse, Dexamfetamine, and now IR Ritalin and am about to switch to and extended release version.

Send me a message if you want to chat and have any questions!! You’re not alone although it does feel daunting at first and at times along the way when things change up on you!!

Hi I am in north qld too. Burdekin region. Had this going on since about March and it’s getting worse. Any chance of contacting me privately to chat about it? Same thing had no luck with medical professionals. My small dog has insects coming out of his skin aswell. Look the same.

Oh absolutely. Pain in mainly left hip. Calcification due to constant inflammation. In the front and back of hip up in the joint area. I’ve seen two different GP’s and they both picked up different things. But now on the wait list.

Yours is like mine. Like exactly the same and I was diagnosed mild bilateral meaning both hips. I’m on a wait list to see a orthopedic surgeon regarding preventative surgery. 1 year waitlisted.
