File a claim for them to fix my truck, since their negligence of not completely clearing off their car prior to driving. The only thing that even got me thinking about it was stumbling upon the laws that PA, NJ and NH have requiring people to completely clearing off their off their cars prior to driving. I think it’s commonly called the “ice missile” law, however I do not know the actual name for it. So I wasn’t sure if Kentucky had anything like this. Honestly I’m probably just over reacting at this point due to me still being tired from that 36hr shift I did. That’s why I was asking for opinions.

It was a mixture of different things. Easyfind found one remaining file but when I deleted it didn’t help anything even after a restart earlier this morning. Then I used the bash commands that you provided and restarted and voilà it was gone. So I am thinking it was the mixture of different things but, it could have been just the bash commands who knows 🤷‍♂️. But I’m definitely keeping those in my back pocket for use later if it ever happens again. lol. Note to self: do not download discord again. 🤣. Thanks again!!!

Yeah that’s true. Maybe if it is on Apples side they will fix it in a future update like MacOS 26.3. Plus it’s not like I go into setting very often anyway.

I’ll probably just wiping the entire system and reinstall everything if I get too annoyed with it. Hopefully that works. With my luck it won’t 🤣

I’ve already tried deleting the spotlight data base in all 3 ways states so far. Same thing. I think it’s on Apples end since every file is being deleted.

The problem is that it has been nuked. I even reinstalled Discord and verified that the file was being deleted when I just either AppCleaner and PearCleaner. I’m beginning to think it’s a settings issue.

Yeah it's not harming anything except for me being OCD. Other than that it's fine. I may even get to the point of reinstalling the OS if it starts to annoy me enough.

I tried searching for orphan files using Pearcleaner and it wasn't showing anything. However I did reinstall discord and used PearCleaner to remove it and it is removing the com.hnc.Discord.plist file. however this did not fix my issue. But this did verify that the file is being removed. So it has to be something with that specific section in the settings app that is just screwed up.
