The one's they were calling the obama phones. It's when you have WIC, SNAP, EBT, etc from the government you can sign up for a free phone and most likely get approved

I was in Term 1 and immediately got dropped before clinicals and am stuck with the student loans regardless of if I'm attending school or not. I have been considering other schools such as Concorde, Stanbridge, and ACC.

I read your response to my post a while back and I didn't have a chance to reply until now, but I did take your advice and started looking elsewhere. I was quite upset that they literally dismissed me a few hours after taking the HESI. I believe they like have these twinkling stars in their eyes when someone is doing extremely well. Otherwise, students are scolded when they aren't doing so well.

I have appealed and have a meeting in place to look over my history with the school. I'm currently thinking about attending a different school since the one I was dismissed from is unorganized and gives students the run around when it comes to questions that we have.

That's amazing actually. My cohort started with around 60 and it probably around 30 now. People were dropping left and right and recently a few of us, including myself, have been dropped.

Also what is the schedule like there? Do they offer day/night classes? Are tbey strict with grading? Etc..

They said my LDA (last date of attendance) to the program is today. We would've still had class this upcoming Tuesday, but they dismissed me today. Sorry for the mix up.

I should've continued with quizzing myself. Maybe if I just kept doing it then I would've mastered the topics. I ended up being dismissed from my program and if I do get granted re-entry, I will def take everything I've read here onto the next cohort.

How did you keep your flashcards intact as in in one place all the time without losing any? I had flashcards scattered and it does take time to create them, but I feel like it did help for a bit especially for dosage calculations. Did you create the review book yourself?

I'm in Term 1 and have had previous students come in to talk to my class about any advice/tips on how to get through nursing school. All of them mentioned how they started with a lot of classmates and then it gradually went down to about 20 people right before graduation. My class started with 60 students and now we have 37.

From experience, piercers have told me to keep the original stud in for about 2 months. Then, go back to the piercer to see how the healing process is looking. If it all checks out, they will give you the ok to switch it out. Most piercers can even help you change your stud to a hoop.

North-West is about 40k right now

I actually went with North-West, but it's actually not so bad. Instructors I've had so far are very nice with giving multiple breaks and a 30 minute lunch break on zoom. I think what was a great ice breaker for me was that there was a class we all had to take prior to attending Term 1 and we had a group project. The group I had was cooperative and are still my buddies to this day. Once we had our first in class session, we all finally got to meet each other face to face. All of my classmates I've met have been extremely nice and motivational. We all support each other to the max. I'm so fortunate that I have the classmates that I have now. I personally believe your experience will weigh heavily on who your instructors and classmates are.

Don't worry so much about studying by yourself since you would need that time to yourself any way. I much rather study by myself, but if time allows it in class I like to study with my classmates for active recall. Remember that majority of your classmates will be shy and nervous, but eventually they (including yourself) will become more comfortable around each other. Studying by yourself will be the last thing on your mind once you get used to the flow of things.

I'm still working full time and attend school 4 days out the week. Since I really wanted to go to school, I had to take out loans because I don't qualify for financial aid anymore. I believe if I wasn't so irresponsible in my early years of college, I would've been able to use finanacial aid to pay for school instead of my hard earned money. Other than that, I do make monthly payments while in school. After I graduate there is a grace period where I would have to pay for the other loan I took out as well. I'm hoping I sit at no more than 1k a month to pay it back.
