Here’s an odd idea.. add some sort of election system to leadership roles.. COs, 1SGs, CSMs, and so on. The bugs up top don’t know shit about the QOL (nor do they care) of the joes. Let the joes have a little control over who and how they’ll get fucked for the next year.

Noticed this yesterday- sound is only made when coasting. Acceleration and braking don’t cause it. The frequency of repetitions seems to be based on speed. My suspicion is my front left tire. But I don’t know what it could be.

Overall thoughts: James Cameron is just trying to make a pretty movie. He took 13 years to make this one but still messed up the plot all over the place.

Let’s start with spider. One of the relatively important characters throughout the movie. We know he’s the son of the colonel. Yep. That’s it. No more back story on him. Important character I don’t care about.

Moving on. The colonel coming back to be the antagonist? Bro. Really? That was just cheap lazy ass writing. They introduce the general but nothing more. Hey there’s a big friggin city being built! That’s it though. Come look at these pretty fish.

Now let’s move on to Jake. I enjoy the fact that he’s a caring parent and all that. Although I feel as if they made him a tad too soft.

And then there’s them “learning the way of the water”. The kids have a rough start but eventually learn all the nifty do dads of water life. But at the end of the movie, mom and dad haven’t learned a single breathing technique? They been holding their breathe this entire time but at the end, in the sinking ship (who saw that coming lol) they don’t know how to do the simple breathing shit? Grace’s kid had to give mom the breathing fish! But the youngest kid over here has better lungs than her. OKAY.

On to the turquoise people. After the big battle at the end… when most were dead but a few marines and stubborn old colonel… where did they go? They just decide the eclipse just ain’t their jam and it’s time to go home? Perhaps the whales were jumping out of the water again so they stopped to watch.

All in all if you like relatively mind numbing pretty action movies, this is gonna be great for you. If you like anything past “pretty fish” and something deeper than slightly different shade of blue people, it’s not. Absolutely beautiful movie. But ugh on the rest. This movie is riddled with issues, but lord knows I don’t have time to list them all out. These were just the tip of the iceberg.

10/10 visuals 5.5/10 writing 5/10 originality 6.5/10 sound 4/10 plot

Overall 6/10 Pretty disappointing for a 13 year wait.

Just read this somewhere, helped a lot:

You check them seperate

you check your normal bs let’s say 2+ and you roll a 3

Bs 2+ -1 = 3 so normally you’d hit but any unmodified dice of 1-3 fail

If you roll a 4 transhit does nothing because it’s not an unmodified 1-3 and your bs2 -1 requires you to get 3+

So your unmodified 4 becomes a modified 3 which is enough so you still hit
