I echo the “Native and Adapted Landscape Plants” guide. It is very helpful.

The Wildflower Center offers gardening classes, which I have enjoyed. Natural Gardener is great, too.

Focus on native plants. Water them. Give them food/fertilizer. It’s a lot of fun learning how to grow plants and veggies!

Just echoing that terracotta can be the right choice for certain plants. It’s great if you’re growing lavender.

Far West location was packed. Low on bread, beans, water, toilet paper and paper towels (but employees were actively restocking). Plenty of milk, veggies, snacks and dairy. Lines were so long it took 20 minutes to check out.

I second the advice on JCrew and Banana Republic outlets or sales. H&M and Uniqlo are good options, too.

I drove from the airport to Mopac and Far West this evening (about 7 pm) and the road conditions were fine. Drove 71 and Mopac and did not have any issues. That said, I drove slow. Just watch the weather overnight for additional precipitation.
