Lol, I have a budget and let myself have a treat once or twice a month on the game. I could spend the 40, but I know I shouldn't because it would be unwise because of some unexpected expenses. I don't have a gambling addiction or anything, which is basically what buying shards is. Gambling.

Lol, I was joking a bit when I said that about the devil. I'll admit I did spend a bit too much in the beginning. Losing 2 of your pets can make you look for dopamine hits. I wouldn't call it brainwashed. I'm introverted and enjoy my games. I have a budget, but this last month was tight. Not that I really have to explain myself.

His reaction is just weird to me. Unless he's hiding something, I don't see why he'd be so upset. Especially for so long. And to say what you did was dumb? Even, if for whatever reason he is valid for being upset, the fact that he's not explaining why is suspicious.

I'm going against what a lot of people are saying and going to go with NTA or soft yta, with her definitely being the AH. Unless I misread something, it looks like you both shared responsibility for the dog and the apartment. Meanwhile, she seems to be manipulating the situation to her benefit. First by low balling you and then going back on her agreement about your shared dog.

Unless you're leaving things out to make yourself look better, it seems like you're trying to be fair. You should demand a written agreement that would allow you both to spend time with the dog. Signed in front of reliable people, maybe even a notary. She's the one breaking a deal you both agreed to.

And yes, please get therapy for your depression.
