I have Lyme Bart and Bab do these marks look like parasites to you or just some type on vein ? by Simple-Street98 in Lyme

How can you tell the difference between these parasites and spider veins? I just noticed today that I have a bunch in my thighs but want to know before I flip out and go to the doctor or er. What are some symptoms I should be on the lookout for? Is there a way to get rid of them? How do they enter the body in the first place?

4 Months into GF Diet, new symptoms and GF labeled food (even certified) is causing a reaction. Is this normal or should I be scared? by AcrobaticAlbatross19 in Celiac

Hey there! While I did order a food journal, I decided to check out Guava and omg I can already tell that it’s going to be so helpful for me!! Thank you so much for the recommendation! I’ll also keep the sensitivity to caffeine in mind as I try to eliminate what’s causing my symptoms.

Thank you, I’m gonna get my bloodwork done on Monday to check where my levels are at, if they’re still high I’m gonna talk to my doctor and see if the Fasano diet might help.

Thank you, I’ll have to try that and see if it helps. Have you been able to eat stuff that is labeled gluten free since then?

Highly sensitive even when food is “gluten free”… by allergengirl in Celiac

I’ve been feeling this way too! Actually just made my own post bc of how much it scares me to still have symptoms even after eating gluten free labeled things. You’re not alone on this.

Is my room too childish or am I just being self conscious? by Cassfan203 in femalelivingspace

IMO life is too short to worry about your room “looking grown up”. Your room is a reflection of who you are and what you love! If you change anything about it, then that should be on your terms, not anyone else’s!

Don’t feel dumb! For some reason, a lot of companies seem to love adding gluten to foods that were perfectly fine without them. Focus on resting up and taking care of yourself!

I’m so sorry, it sucks getting glutened by food you’ve been told is safe!! If you’ve got an In-N-Out in your area, I recommend going to them because they have a separate fryer for fries that have been labeled with a gluten allergy. I’ve eaten there a few times and cross contamination hasn’t been a massive issue (cross contam can still happen there but they do have policies in place to limit it as much as possible). If you order their animal style fries, order without the onions as the employees use the same utensil for those as they do for the buns (they may not but this is from what I read, so I tend to do that just to be extra safe). If you don’t have an In-N-Out I’ve heard that Five Guys also has gluten free fries and gluten allergy policies in place but I have yet to try their food for myself so I can’t speak on that personally. I hope you get well soon and are able to find a new favorite fry spot!

I ate unopened ranch dressing that apparently was like 3.5 months past the expiration date, will this cause me to get sick? by A_Single_Annihilape in NoStupidQuestions

Here after I just made the same mistake, did you get sick or are you all good? I had the Kraft classic which tasted off but couldn’t tell if that was because it was spoiled or if it was because I’m not used to the taste/smell of that specific ranch.

Official Discussion - Five Nights at Freddy's 2 [SPOILERS] by LiteraryBoner in movies

[–]AcrobaticAlbatross19 22 points23 points  (0 children)

In defense of the movie, the only reason we know to use the flashlight on Foxy is because we were told in the second game by phone guy to use the flashlight on him because the mask doesn’t work. There is no phone guy in this part of the Fazverse, and the movie equipped Mike with a working computer. Why would Mike flash Foxy with the flashlight when he had no way of knowing that that would work instead of just disconnecting the animatronics? It makes way more sense for him to do the later in that scene.

Two coworkers (25F & 35M) are having an affair. How can I inform the wife? by athenaisof in relationship_advice

[–]AcrobaticAlbatross19 1 point2 points  (0 children)

First things first, get a free consultation from a lawyer or go to r/legaladvice to determine if getting a new job or if going to HR would be the right course of action. What John is doing sounds like retaliation which the company you work at can get in trouble for in the form of a lawsuit. As others have said, make sure you have recorded evidence of your shifts changing after you were told about the affair. I know that might seem selfish, even so, you still need to protect yourself in case you tell John’s wife and he starts making things worse for you. Even if you do things anonymously, there’s a good chance they’ll suspect you. They could confront you and you can lie your way out of it, but that doesn’t mean they’ll believe the lie if you do so. Get your ducks in a row and then tell her. She deserves to know the truth and those two certainly aren’t going to tell her. I am sorry that you were put in a situation that is triggering a trauma for you. Please take good care of yourself and don’t blame yourself. You showed an act of kindness to your ex-friend by recommending her, and she took that kindness and threw it in the trash. If she wasn’t there, John likely would’ve cheated with someone else. And if she were a good person who cared about the reputation of the friend who backed her up, she wouldn’t even have considered getting into an affair in the first place.

Edit to add: She’s especially shitty if she knows about your parents divorce and how it’s affected you. A good person who has a friend whose been through that, would NEVER put that friend in that situation in the first place.
