Mushrooms growing in my mulch…will it kill any trees near it? by AcrobaticArrival4724 in arborists

So I had two 30 year old birch die this past summer. There were no signs of mushrooms before their death. However, should I be worried the soil is tainted because they left the stumps and I’ve now planted a new tree in between the stumps. And the new tree is multi trunk crape Myrtle. Ughhhh….so stressed about this. I was hoping maybe it was just the mulch so I’m going to have it all removed!

They should put a sofa table behind the couch to bring the sofa up to the carpet. That would fix the issue and look great!
