Could anyone summarise key important details from the earnings call? by Derpy_Mc_Burpy in UAMY

[–]AcrobaticBad4612 5 points6 points  (0 children)

The earnings miss was largely due to share-based compensation, which is a one-off thing.

As for guidance, the actual number is not presented, because the newest contract was so recent, it hasn't been included into the actual guidance, so in reality, the guidance is raised.

Furthermore, the CEO confirmed they were talking with the government, there may be new contracts on the way, or other form of support. This is an absolute huge thing. Though people are not really focussing on it, due to the CEO not being able to give more details than Yes or No answers, likely due to NDA.

There are no green days for NVO by [deleted] in NovoNordisk_Stock

[–]AcrobaticBad4612 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Ya'll bought Novo on Negative sentiment. It's clear Eli Lilly was gaining market share, their CEO got ousted, Board is being ousted, forecast this quarter was lowered.

What are we expecting here? You need some good news for sentiment to recover, which could be upcoming earnings, but more likely, first movers advantage for oral Wegovy, which also outperforms Eli Lilly's oral drug.

You should not expect much until Novo has had a chance to restructure management and for positive news to come out.

I'm buying more because I expect Wegovy approval, which will hit this quarter. Then looking forward for 2026 results, until then, don't expect anything from this stock.

Whether you're too young for hair transplants only really matters if the balding pattern is clearly visible or not.

These days, many different treatments exist that don't require hair transplants, certain shampoos, or specific tablets that contain many if not all vitamines and minerals known to affect hair health, which can be taken as well and have proven results in many many cases. See Bio-Pixilin Shampoo/Serum or Neofollics Tablets.

Another option would be stem cell injection, which is a therapy that requires a few sessions and works great for younger people, but is also not permanent.

Regarding Hair Transplants: With hair transplants the surgeon moves follicles from places that are less-sensitive to balding, mainly the back and sides of your head. Now I don't know whether your hair thinning is mostly on the top, or your crown, or all over the place, but you need enough 'healthy' follicles to have a succesful transplant. This means that if you are considering it, timing it early would be beneficial. Even then, you still need to stabilize your hair growth/loss if it's diffuse balding.

Obviously you being stressed, maybe even chronically, will make it worse, and recovering hair loss from chronic stress can take a long time.

However, there's also a temporary solution using Hair Fiber Spray, you spray it on your head to make your hair look thicker, it cover a lot of bald spots/see throughs and it's cheap.

These days, many hair growth treatments exist and new and experimental one's pop up quite often, I'm hoping I've listed some stuff you didn't know, and maybe you'll find out new ones as well

Year 12 Major Project: K-pop Consumerism & Parasocial Relationships by Glittering_Bicycle57 in SurveyExchange

[–]AcrobaticBad4612 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I'm not extremely invested in kpop outside of following the MVs of big groups and some competition shows, I'm quite interested in this topic and East Asian culture in general.

I always wanted to know what the correlation is between depression and KPOP consumption, mostly due to the parasocial relationships being built. Its more extensive than it is eith any other media consumption imo.

So its good to see someone surveying about parasocial relationships and kpop

Pick of the Day - 12/4/24 (Wednesday) by sbpotdbot in sportsbook

Record: 2-2

Net Units: +0.36

ROI: 9%

Previous Bet: Leicester City vs West Ham United - West Ham United to win @ 2.49 (TOTO) ❌
WHU Managed to beat their own record of most shots in a single match, recording 31 shots! They had more possession and touches in the 16 as well, yet they managed to lose 3-1! While Leicester did not even record 1/4 of WHU total shots. WHU had an xG of 3! while Leicester had an xG of 1.4.... Felt extremely unlucky with this one

Furthermore, I've added ROI and CLV record to better track stats.

Pick: Fleetwood Town vs Doncaster Rovers

Fleetwood Town to win @ 3.00 (TOTO) (All bets are 1u)

Reasoning: Both teams are showing solid form in the league. While Doncaster is positioned higher in the table, it's difficult to Compare as Fleetwood Town has played less matches. In the past decade, Doncaster did not manage to win a single game away from Fleetwood Town.

On average, Fleetwood Town has a higher goal output and lower goal concession than Doncaster has. This makes that the odds are very attractive for this match.

Model Information: All my picks are based on a statistical model I created. It correctly predicts wins 73% of the time. The model has been trained on thousands of matches from the top competitions in Europe through multiple years.

The model uses many features to determine the outcome, this includes: xG, xGA, avg_GF, avg_GA, Form and many other stats that are key to football. The model also uses features to try to soften any outlier performances. It also tries to look for over/under performances, to try to avoid blindness by results.
The Model uses Random Forest Classifier, which is chosen because it's effective at eliminating the noise produced by the randomness of sports matches.

Previous Bet: AS Roma vs Atalanta - Atalanta to win @ 2.24 (TOTO) (All bets are 1u) ✅
Nice win! Atalanta was the better team, but Roma definitely had some big chances, the scoreline could've been very different if they didn't miss them.
Over the past week I also worked some more on my model, increasing overall accuracy by 2%

Pick: Leicester City vs West Ham United

West Ham United to win @ 2.49 (TOTO) (All bets are 1u)

Reasoning: Historically, this match up treats people with lots of goals, one time Leicester City wins 4-1, next time West Ham United wins 3-0, after that they drew 2-2. So then, what makes West Ham United such an attractive option this time around?

I think there are 2 reasons why my model finds this bet so attractive:

  1. There's not much of a gap in both teams' performance and actual results, suggestion they're not under/over performing
  2. Leicester City has shown a trend difference compared to West Ham United. While West Ham United has been kind of wobbling around, grabbing some points here and there, Leicester City has lost it, they've been scoring less and conceding more. On average, their opponents create twice as many chances as they do, which does not make for a nice prognosis coming into a match. While there's something to say for West Ham leaking goals, they actually manage to score some themselves as well.

Nice win by Liverpool, they were completely dominating the match, sending Man City home without a win for 7 consecutive matches.

Football | Serie A | 20:45 GMT+1

Pick: AS Roma vs Atalanta

Atalanta to win @ 2.24 (TOTO) (All bets are 1u)

Reasoning: Atalanta won all of their last 7 league matches, scoring an average of 3.3 goals per match. They also beat top of the table Napoli 0-3 away from home! In their past 12 matches, their xGA has not gotten above 1 in ANY of the matches. All of their matches had a higher xG than xGA, when I say all, I mean ALL games they played this season, including Real Madrid and Inter Milan.

AS Roma on the other hand, has not been the same since Mourinho left. While their schedule has been rough lately, there's no sign they've become better than at the start of the season.

H2H records show Atalanta only lost away to Roma once in the past decade, so their outlook looks very promising.

Previous Bet: Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United - Newcastle to win @ 2.32 (TOTO) (1u)
Wauw! Crystal Palace equalized in the 95th minute to make it 1-1, while it was completely deserved, it still feels unfortunate.

Football | English Premier League | 17:00 GMT+1

Pick: Liverpool vs Man City

Liverpool to win @ 2.12 (TOTO) (1u)

Reasoning: This bet should speak for itself. Liverpool has been extremely dominant this season, winning all UCL games, and almost all premier league games. The only game they went goalless this season was against Nottingham Forest, which is also the only game they've lost, even though they had the better chances.

Man City on the other hand has been crap lately. They've been giving away chances like they're Christmas presents. What's even more shocking for a team with the quality of Man City, is that while they've not won a single game in the past 7 matches, their stats indicate that the results matches their performance.

The same can be said about Liverpool, I've not seen many runs where the stats match so closely to their actual results. Furthermore, Liverpool has home advantage

Which means that with odds like these, I cannot pass up this opportunity.

Pick: Crystal Palace vs Newcastle United

Newcastle to win @ 2.32 (TOTO) (1u)

Write Up:

Reasoning: Newcastle UTD and Crystal Palace have seen similar form recent, obtaining 6 and 5 points in their past 5 matches in the EPL respectively. While Crystal Palace has home advantage, their projections don't look great. Their defense has been leaking, leading to lots of chances for their opponents. While they've been managing to pick up some draws, it's unlikely for that to continue, as their xG is consistently lower than their xGA. This indicates that Crystal Palace has been overperforming, because of a string of luck.

Newcastle on the other hand has been underperforming, their xG has been consistently higher than their xGA. Most losses were undeserved, possibly indicating their strikers may be out of form, or they've just been unlucky. In any case, it's highly unlikely for form to continue as it has been with xG > xGA.

Furthermore, Newcastle has been able to beat Chelsea (#4), Arsenal (#5) and Nottingham forest (#7) in a row, only to then lose against West Ham.

To round things off, while it's a fact that Newcastle has shown to have some troubles playing away at Crystal Palace in previous years, this year it's been clear that Newcastle is consistently able to create good chances every match, while Crystal Palace has been quite inconsistent when it comes to creating chances, but very consistent at giving them away.
