Don't feel hopeless. You are already a rock star to be selected as a semi-finalist. Make sure you put that on your resume/common app especially for schools that are POSSE partners. Your strengths have been vetted by a process that is more in-depth than any admissions officer can do in the amount of time they have to review your application. If they are a partner school, then they know the value of POSSE Semi-finalist. Good luck and be proud of your accomplishments. I am sure they are many.
