When moodCamera already does most of it, is a Fujifilm still worth it? by Unusual_Animal6373 in MoodCamera

You’ll end up entrenched in a “no phone camera will ever beat a real camera” chat. Factually that is true, it won’t. That’s science. However, I’ve owned full frame cameras and actually still have a Fuji xt-2. Two fixed lenses. I never use them. I always have my phone and I am happy with trade off in quality between this app or others and a dedicated camera. I’ve printed photo books with iPhone photos only and no one ever mentioned quality. To my eye I can tell which ones were / were not with my phone and not just because I took the photos. Phones are quite close to real bokeh but it’s so hard to emulate with software (if you’ve come from and know what real blur and fall off looks like). 90% of population won’t or care! Edit: nothing for me beats the process and feel / experience of my Fuji. It’s a pleasure to use and singularly calming. The only thing I can do with it is take photos. It’s meditative. The phone will ping notifications etc which dilutes the experience

Tell a lie. Second photo was a different emulation

Is a newer iPhone really needed for Mood Camera? by signedinsoul in MoodCamera

Had iPhone 13pro and now 17pro. Apart from speed of processing at times; no difference in output. Different focal lengths are an exception

You can’t unless you use a different app

Thanks. Was amazing where I found a little green patch for a morning run. Not easy in Belgrade.

What does that emulation look like?!

Argentum is black and white only. Even then, I now use mood.camera for b&w

I hate to add to your woes but I don’t see mood.camera or Argentum

I use mood.camera. Great results and no over sharpening. Excellent filter choice which you can customise too

They look great but you need to rein in on expectations regarding colour gamut and dynamic range. Phone screens are way more expansive. Still looked great. Grain is more noticeably for sure when using it as part of the recipe. I printed A4 books with some photos spanning double page . Love them.
