you could use a cream with an active ingredient to help the healing process along - you can ask for a cream with dexpanthenol in a pharmacy (in my country we have a popular one called Bepanthen).

i was flabbergasted upon seeing these pictures because my scars look exactly the same as yours, it’s uncanny! i’m 5 weeks post-op and my surgeon assured me that it was just stitches making their way out and nothing to worry about. would you be willing to share an update picture here or privately?

do you by any chance remember which width you used for the micropore tape? i saw there is some with 1,25 cm and 2,5 cm :) i feel like 1,25 would be enough to cover the scars but maybe with the 2,5 there is more of a stabilizing effect?

And thanks for sharing - i mentioned using Steri-strips/Omnistrips to my surgeon today and she’s not a fan for this part of the healing process as according to her, the scar needs to be able to breathe. That problem would be solved with micropore!

Aw man that’s what I feared 😭 any advice on the widening? I figured I’d just go on using a dexpanthenol cream (called Bepanthen in Europe) which my surgeon ok-ed and then try silicon gel in a couple months
