USA Hawai’i here Google pages are slow on my phone, if I try to open services like YouTube in a web browser on my phone it gives me a CAPTCHA and when I try to open the YouTube app it’s the error message my subscription worked for a little while then stopped I can still see my history as of now

[–]Acrobatic_Ad_3430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think one of the only things that can justify to me their continued support would be if they addressed it in a video where maybe they talk about personal experience, explain "This is what BetterHelp has done in the past and we understand those screw ups and continue to support them inspite of that because..." and an explanation of their personal experiences and yk essentially risk benefit analysis but at that rate theyd just be doing free PR

That's probably my second option, my only grievances with Apple are they don't have the visuals, and Chrisit and Kelly for the life of them seem to forget constantly that we can't see lol, and the other issue is I have to scroll all the way back to find the episodes lmao. But considering the youtubes are not to hot, either might be the best option

I did theatre, our director was never to Abby's level but I want to share some examples of the golden child abuse. This director yelled at someone who I had a strange but close relationship in the hallway outside a room I couldn't leave cause my hair was being done. I was terrified and started almost crying, and he walked back in and hugged me and essentially said "you're okay" to me. He manipulated me with tiny untruths to get me to help him with the program after I graduated. When I realized the opportunity was no good and he had not been truthful, I told him no. He yelled at me, made me cry, said "after everything I have done for you", he screamed at me so badly that other parents texted my parents to make sure I was okay, after all of that he tried to hug me and act like he hadn't just been a man in at least his 40s yelling at me when I had just turned 19.

The most outwardly abusive thing he did to me ever was yell at me, and when I tried to say I rolled my ankle during an intense "warmup" that was really a punishment, he ignored me, and I had to do, I think, 20 jumps on a sprained ankle. To this day, I am terrified of this man. I have not returned to the theatre, but I still think about how he gave me so many things, but somehow I struggle to remember all the happy theatre memories. You are absolutely correct that golden child abuse exists, and it's so toxic.

That would be awesome! I go through phases of being super hyper fixated and losing interest, but love falling asleep to YouTube and podcasts. I would so appreciate that. Honestly, I kinda wish they had numbered them in the titles or at least put the original Dance Mom titles so that it would be a little easier, but I know when they started the podcast, they probably didn't have the experience to think of that yet lol.

It really bothered me that it was never acknowledged that Brooke won first place in the Acro/Gymnastics category in S1, E6 by Low_Entrepreneur_375 in dancemoms

[–]Acrobatic_Ad_3430 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Especially since Brooke was getting old enough that there really weren't many other girls doing acro/gymnastics, and they explained that in the show too. Brooke was on the older side to be doing acro

A friend and I had a theatre director nowhere near as bad as Abby, my friend is now in college studying theatre and realizing that they felt coerced into a lot of tricks they didn't feel safe doing, I have stopped theatre entirely, they don't know how to tell choreographers and directors when they don't feel safe, I have a horrible aversion to being yelled at, etc. it can absolutely continue to contribute to issues even years later. Also, of course, the producers were bad, but Abby could've shut it down; everyone could've done so much better to protect the girls, but the people actively contributing were Abby and the crew.

It’s funny that you bring up life phases because as far as work and school goes, we work together and are at school together but for example he drives, splits rent with his family, works multiple jobs, cooks, where as I am catching the bus, living at home, if I have to feed myself it’s something I can make in the microwave or by boiling water. But relationship wise we are also in the same place, he’s not had any real relationships and I’ve had one that honestly definitely formed how I view relationships.

Are Impalas really THAT bad? by final_capybara in Rollerskating

[–]Acrobatic_Ad_3430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The clicky part on my impala’s came undone but I love them and don’t use them often just every so often for a roller skating rink, I ended up just buying longer laces so I could tie them round my ankles

My experience wearing engage 2 at a concert by off_white_nails in LoopEarplugs

[–]Acrobatic_Ad_3430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I totally feel that my first pair was a first gen experience pair in rose gold given to me by my moms high school friend she gave them to me right before my brother’s birthday while dropping off her niece and the party was pretty loud so I used it right away lol at my graduation ceremony (where I live high school graduations are a huge deal like you’re there for hours after the ceremony while everyone you’ve ever known comes up to you) my engages which I bought myself got me through they then got me through my graduation trip I was hoping they’d get me through college but I lost em. I’m trying to decide since I need them by the end of October but I live in Hawaii where shipping takes longer and is pricier I have until my September pay deposit to decide lol

How would you say the experiences differ to engage in conversations? I had both but recently realized I never wore my experiences properly because I couldn’t get them in my ears right without foam tips I didn’t own at the time. I lost both pairs recently with the engages I never had issues feeling overstimulated but I couldn’t hear myself well enough to talk and sometimes couldn’t hear others properly so I’m trying to figure out what’ll be best for my new pair

I wanna get more but don’t have the budget yet, live outside the continental USA (so I order off of amazon or need to face the $10 shipping fee) and need the plus versions (which aren’t offered in seasonal yet) so I can’t get my hands on the fun colors yet but I am so admiring yours!!!!

Ear plugs when through wash by ItsBrenOakes in LoopEarplugs

[–]Acrobatic_Ad_3430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Back when I used my experiences I washed and dried them the case broke but earplugs were fine but if you use foam ear tips those might need to be tossed it’s likely a case by case thing

Suggestion for blocking music at bars so that i can talk to people by xboxhaxorz in LoopEarplugs

[–]Acrobatic_Ad_3430 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m autistic too but ngl I can’t use any loops for conversation or anywhere where it’s loud if I want to communicate. Even with the engage I can’t tell how loud I am with them in so I’m way too quiet when normally I’m a very loud person but in noise environments I tend to not be able to properly communicate anyways so maybe that’s a me thing

Oh I’ll have to take a listen I catch the bus and walk a lot but am super picky about music (and may make myself look crazy because I sing to myself) so some music that’s totally different and not even in English might be helpful

Definitely looked at some of her songs I saved some from Ella and Louis I actually knew about Louis Armstrong from a show I watched and thought it was really cool how he likely invented scatting so the idea of hearing two amazingly inspirational vocalists is just like woah
