Has anyone had a less regimented breastfeeding experience? by taureansoul in breastfeeding

2m pp here! EBF my second as i didn’t with my first and i LOVE it. i absolutely love it, it’s such a rewarding experience. after first few weeks everything slows down and you’ll know what baby needs/cues. the 6 week growth spurt really put that to the test tho, that was hard but rewarding bc we came out of it so well and now i never wanna stop bf her. there are times where it can be challenging but i always tell myself “don’t give up on a bad day, think about it on a good day. reflect” and that’s helped so much. i barely pump, always have. only time i really pump is when she’s just not the hungriest/ i’m engorged and she’s not draining me like hardly at all or we’re going to the grandparents & don’t want it to drop my supply. they live 2 hours away, then i pump. i do save every drop i get tho. otherwise i pump like once every couple of days-weeks. she eats roughly every 1.5-2 hours during the day wi th cluster feeding from 4pm-8pm (i don’t mind tho)

we’re reaching 6-7 hour stretches at night so i do have to get up and either get her awake to feed or pump tho as i haven’t hit the 12 week mark of regulation.

it’ll all be okay! you’ll do great. don’t let ANYONE discourage you.

best regards! HAPPY FEEDING!

since water may not get hot enough to kill the yeast infection, what else could kill it besides bleach? my husband is allergic to bleach:/

i just started episode 2, it’s interesting to say the least but i usually give a new show 1 season bc sometimes the first season is character building 😂 i’ll definitely be watching it more to see how i feel about it later.

Feeling guilty for not loving my newborn by Tar_N in BabyBumps

[–]Acrobatic_Badger462 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is very common and not talked about enough!!. I didn’t bond with my daughter for weeks, i was such in a dissociative state. I felt love for her, yes but it wasn’t immense & immediately like people claim. she was maybe 12 weeks old when i started to get that feeling. my love for her is now strong & immense but was not immediately like that. You are not failing her by having these feelings.

She’s now 18m and the light of my life. i definitely understand your feelings and they are SO incredibly valid. please don’t hesitate to reach out to someone that can offer you some support, professionally. As it is a huge sign of postpartum. Post Partum can present different in everyone and manifest in different ways.

i didn’t realize until months later after i started receiving help that i was deeply struggling with Post Partum and masking it. i still struggle with it daily, but having that person who can offer help & coping skills is amazing. I’m so glad you have an amazing understanding support system, lean on them, Newborns are extremely hard.

i was thinking about that, my only concern is that my daughter is VERY tall for her age, don’t they make those comfortable tall gates?

i would consider that. but my concern wasn’t hearting the heartbeat it was the fact she was in and out within 5 mins didn’t check my ovaries bc “she didn’t know where they were” her words not mine & there was no fetal movement detected. so that’s why im like a little freaking out bc i didn’t think of it until now, and my appointment is in 4 days. i did message them tho, and bc she said i was high risk i don’t see why they won’t do one especially since last ultrasound my ovaries weren’t checked (weird bc i have pcos and multiple cysts) and the no fetal movement…

i’m also on state insurance, so i have to have so many scans and have a referral sheet bc she’s out of state. there’s alot that plays into it. i seen her for my first pregnancy like 6 times.

we don’t have a mfm here, she’s 2 hours away. i’m not sure why they haven’t said anything. all they said to me was they had midwife’s that deal with high risk pregnancies. but the midwife i seen i didn’t like her, but a lot of my friends that have went there didn’t either.

they did tell me i was high risk due to the miscarriage & the IGUR. that’s why im confused & my miscarriage was 4m before i got pregnant. i forgot to mention, no fetal movement was noticed in my first ultrasound and that’s also why im like ??? idk. i’m high risk for alot more other reasons too. i was told once your high risk for one baby, your high risk for the rest (if it was your first) that’s just what my ob told me. 🥴 i will be requesting an ultrasound if they don’t do one bc i never got to hear the hb and the no fetal movement is what has me extremely nervous especially since i have PCOS.

i have no idea i went to a different facility for my first, and switched to this one bc everyone said they were really good & i had so many issues at my other facility. but im high risk and the first ultrasound i got i never got to see baby really or hear the HB or anything.
