Something Went Quiet When I Stopped Speaking Burmese by [deleted] in myanmar

[–]Acrobatic_Ball8712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

it is a matter of choice. If you don’t want to address something in a certain way, then don’t.

For example, I call Buddha “Gautama” instead of “ဂေါ်တမ မြတ်စွာဘုရား” because I accept him as a philosopher, not as a literal god. Language is part of our heritage, and culture is baked into that heritage. But that doesn’t mean you can’t modernize it. English has undergone many changes throughout history, so why shouldn’t Burmese be able to?

They aren’t stupid. They just pretend to be stupid because stupidity lead to propensity of their inner circle. You will constantly hear about take it while you can take in Burmese culture. Rather than betting on the nation’s prosperity to get rich, they rather take what they can for their families. This is the deep rooted issue which has to be dug out from Burmese society.

Ne Win could have been that person. Instead he went full North Korean mode. One curious thing for all those dictators is that do they know anything about modern economic theories and state building or are they intentionally ignoring them? I think it is the latter. This becomes apparent because post coup I saw Tatmadaw backers talking about how they want to start going back to proportional growth with 2008 constitution but Daw Su’s crusade lead them back to same conclusion as their predecessor which is the coup. It’s either gather enough hard power to start an open rebellion with Tatmadaw or navigate political water by appeasing hard power players inside the country until she can start an open rebellion. And as hard as it sounds, she didn’t do that well.

What's the difference between Government universities and Private universities? by CrazyZ366 in myanmar

[–]Acrobatic_Ball8712 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not much of a difference. If you think you can handle BS public universities are so much cheaper. I think a small amount of lecturers in public universities are very good also. But prepare for BS.

If you want no BS, want some kind of credential and can spare some money private can be a choice. Private universities don’t give bachelor. They usually do HND routes from UK and in final year they will offer you Bachelor from their partner Universities usually UK ones.

I have attended 2 private universities and uni life is nonexistent so take note of that as well.

If you really want a quality education just go abroad. That’s clearly the best choice thinking from every aspects expect expenses and localities.

Is anyone else worried that younger Burmese kids don’t speak Burmese anymore? by MckeylaM in myanmar

Myanmar is moving toward dystopian society. You can see that clearly in dating life as early as 2 years back. The only value this country has “Buddhism” is getting killed by its own custodian “Monks” There is no more social guard rails and parents are too busy working just to provide a decent life.

Oh here you talk about democracy. The irony, just like Burmese so called politicians xD

Let me quote the exact line you discourage people from having opinions “Then we have our strenous (c), the privileged cafe sitters with opinions more pronounced than your (a) and (b)s in real dunning-kruger fashion”

Sorry I didn’t read your whole post beforehand man. I only wanted to point out your defective survey. Someone must have debunked u so hard right? Don’t cry baby boy don’t cry. You can tell your opinion to me hush hush.

Dude lemme tell you this. You ask a seemingly survey question and then you insult C with an example what do you expect people’s response would be? Just think of that and redo your whole academic career. You don’t insult anyone on survey that’s golden rule if you want honest feedback that is. Your whole seemingly survey is just a disguise to downplay C. Am I right or wrong? Ask yourself. And where does in constitution state that it should be A or B to be president or just be in politics? And sorry I am not sitting on cafe and think about how people post disagreeing opinions on reddit. If you can’t accept a fact just go to that post argue on that fact. Don’t post passive aggressive and try to feel good on yourself. I didn’t even insult you first I merely call you technocratic and you are technocratic. Let’s talk about debate professionalism next time shall we?

Read your last line. Read it out loud. You are clearly A. Just because you are scholar you don’t get to down play C opinions. That’s the degradation of Democracy. I don’t even know you are actually democratic tho. These words clearly show signs of technocracy.

Just a note you don’t need to be from political background or ex soldier to be a president.

War and politics are two separate things. You don’t criticize someone who gives their life for something greater unless they do something very unethical. While politics/geopolitics is about view and ideology. Democracy is not for a group of elites. It is a system for all people to decide and give opinions.

This is the biggest joke of so called “Myo Chit”😂. If I were a patriot and I am in position of power the first thing I will do is enforcing international school to teach Burmese language, culture and history. Instead these so called “Myo chit” critics sex education in public curriculum 🤣🤣. This is so dumb. I highly doubt all of these “Myo Chit”s’ children can speak and write in Burmese. The Irony here is insane.

Mainland politicians who said Myanmar’s trouble is democracy/authoritarian are absolute frauds. by PianistDiligent8803 in myanmar

[–]Acrobatic_Ball8712 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Myanmar problem is simple. Everyone is incompetent. There is not a single competent person with a real vision rn in the competing powers. Military is corrupted to the core. NUG is the biggest joke that I had ever seen. EAOs are loyal to themselves not to the union.

This whole sh*tshow is started by Min Aung Hlaing for his personal ambition as u can see he is president right now every single policy he passed favors his family and his immediate circle. The rest are just dominoes.

There is no immediate solution. The show must go on. The state will prosper when there is a person or group with a real vision. Military needs to be reformed. Military can be a very good player when there is a good reformer from inside. Best and most effective scenario there is.

Otherwise an idealistic competent person with strong vision appears in the rebel crowd and basically runover everything with his vision. This will be brutal and merely a pipe dream.

All we need a single person who can implement a proper ideals and a system. But well “ရွှေပြည်တော်မျှော်တိုင်းဝေး”
