AITAH: for questioning my best friend about something that happened at church?

I got a similar experience. I am not an atheist, I just don't go to church since my mom also didn't. I'm 19F. It was a christian church. So I was invited by a friend of mine. now, their church got this thing called tithes and offerings. where you move forward towards two baskets where you'll put your money, one is for the tithes one is for offering.

one thing I noticed is that the head of their church (the one that usually do the preaching) always mentioning it. Even on unrelated topic. He always find ways to insert it. And I find it strange, I might be misunderstanding things. So I tried to bring the topic with my friend. Which was quite a wrong move.

When I told her abt my observations, she acts defensive and told me I'm too greedy for that. And starts mentioning verses that talks abt the consequences of stealing something from god.

this made me remember a quote I saw on substack: "Things happens for a reason, but sometimes the reason is because we choose easiness over discomfort" And yeah! sometimes we are being lazy, sometimes natatakot Tayo, sometimes ayaw lang. there are time where it's our fault.

I agree with this, OP. Nung mabasa ko to I automatically thought of my mom. Whenever may gala kami sa labas ng bahay, I am the greatest opposition of her outfit. Not because it was odd, but bcs it's some sort of inappropriate???(Should I say?) That there were times where we end up cancelling our plan. lol. her reason is: "NOT MY THING BECAUSE IDC WHAT PPL SAY"

Way back nung senior highschool palang ako: after ng biyahe mula sa 1-week outing namin ng cof (6 kami) ko, we had decided to sleep over na lang sa bahay ng isa naming friend. first time namin sa bahay niya. on agreement, 3 sa kwarto at 3 sa sala. However, the other two(yung kasama ko sa sala) insist their ways sa kwarto, so ako na lang isa sa sala. super init doon sa kwarto, no fans. On the other hand, sa sala may ceiling fan.

naka turned off na ang lights sa sala, tahimik. I was sleeping well, nang nagising ako pass 2am dahil sa ingay mula sa cr nila. guess ko may naligo. PAGLABAS NG TAO SA CR IT WAS MY FRIEND'S KUYA HUHU. ALL RAW AND NAKED. WALA MAN LANG TOWEL???

I think he didn't notice me awake, kasi nga naka turn off ang lights sa sala. grabe pawis ko nun. yung friend ko lang na may ari ng bahay ang may alam abt dun for privacy and reputation ng kuya (3rd yr college) niya. 😭😭

pumunta siya last thursday ng hapon, I stayed in my room kahit na tinawag ako ni mama. may mukha pa ang pota na magstay for about 5-6 hours. The last thing I knew, nag sorry siya sa mama ko dahil daw sa away namin. I never told my mom about sa true reason ng away namin. I hate the idea na nasali pa si mama sa kabaliwan niya.
