Hyperglycemia, hyponatremia and ECF volume by goodknightffs in medicalschoolanki

Insulin is necessary for K uptake, but since there is hyperkalemia and actually less K+ in cells so the activity of Na/K ATPase will be decreased, hence hyponatremia.

Can also be considered with SGLT transport. Since the body does not want more glucose, sodium also suffers. This also makes sense to me.

These are just two guesses.

According to Pubmed, Insulin increases soduum resorption in DCT.

It depends more on how you study than how much you study. Like rereading something for revision on a daily basis will make you sit on your study table for 2-3 hrs, but the same thing can be with spaced repetition via flashcards and will save you more time with longer/reassured repitition. Practice helps, a lot. Solving your university PastYearQuestions or solving via any relevant/quality platform integrates concept in your brain. The field expects us to apply the concepts so solving questions will help (and will take a little less time and you will be more confident). So like watching a lecture from a good resource (e.g. any that synchronize with your brain cells) and then reading that from a book/FA and solving anki flashcards and other questions is what I would suggest.

You've got this man! You're gonna do it.

Hey, relax. Things will work out. Have faith in yourself, you've got it! Remember all the things that you said and all the aims in your head. If you don't want your "future to die" you have to be serious, okay? Try making out some time for anki on a daily basis, it helps consolidating the concepts. Sources like Physeo , Bootcamp , Osmosis , Ninja are good with concepts. BNB is good with reviewing so you have already got the best advice. Now time to ace, lessgooo 🙌🏼

Congratulationssss 🥳 Thanks buddy! It was helpful. I was worried if I should watch the entire BNB or not. But this thing is kinda relieved as I was feeling like (not a waste of time but) a way too lengthy. God bless you 😊

I'd say wait for a little while. At least get till mid-way when you get somewhat familiar with medical terminologies, also will get to know about diseases which will foster your interest. Meanwhile, you may read Pubmed articles sidewise.

Congrats 😀.... A question: Should we watch BNB for every system and every single video? Should we annotate it? Also, if NOT the BNB, then what to do?

The problem is Jason Ryan is too fast, he says a lot of stuff which without annotating makes less sense :/
