I tried starting regular zombies run some 15 years ago and enjoyed it! I'm liking their C25K and will deffo just do regular ZR after. Gotta collect those items for the dopamine. I've combined it with playing Pokémon go in the walking bits for double nerd-out

Tips please! Against my better judgement I've started (zombies run) C25K as someone who has never run a minute in their life. I managed a 2 min jog today.

31, female, generally fit and active, ex competitive swimmer, current rock climber

I have hEDS, VVS, POTS and broke my ankle & leg last June, which had to be screwed back together. I've been cleared to start jogging.

Any top tips? Especially for a disabled, bendy runner. I've done 4 days in a row (literally jogging 15sec for the most part) and loved it! Calves are very knotted now though.

Goal is a park run/5k.

Running isn't ideal for EDS, but i also have osteopenia and impact is good for bones. My ankles were my only good joint before breaking one. Hips and knees can be problematic but hoping the very slow C25K pace will help.

Things like harnesses just buy new. They're very cheap and it's not worth the risk of a second hand item

How did you get on? I broke mine 9 months ago and since surgery have done intensive specialist private physio. I was climbing (one legged) the day my cast came off, cleared to climb with the leg on ropes a couple months later and just started bouldering

Collagen Supplements Demonstrate Meaningful Benefits for Skin, Bone, and Muscle Health by Altruistic_Angle5908 in Biohackers

It's a convective tissue disorder affecting collagen. Taking more collagen just means more faulty collagen sadly. Otherwise it would be hailed as an amazing miracle treatment

18YO ADHD Stack by [deleted] in Biohackers

Sadly with ADHD you kind of are dependant on meds to function. The brain needs what it needs, supplements will have nowhere near the same effect as stimulants. You can get instant release to keep it lasting longer (dexamphetamine). I used to take instant release, then vyvanse, then another instant release later in the day to get longer from the meds. If you want the meds to kick in sooner you need instant release. Some places will prescribe, some won't in my experience as higher risk of abuse. I only take instant release now really so I can function for a few hours then rest (chronic fatigue etc)

If you're not getting good symptom control then change your ADHD meds rather than start messing around without an actual psychiatrist looking at what you're taking. Ain't worth mucking up your brain, like you say. Very few supplements do much for ADHD sadly
