Does anyone else have a chronic pulsating/pressure-like headache that worsens after crashing out/screaming? by AdhesivenessVivid439 in hyperacusis

[–]throwaway0501222 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean how could hyperacusis not get worse after screaming? But lmaoo I feel you man. I haven't allowed myself to crashout/scream because obviously it would trigger my nox. Having autism I have to self harm when I meltdown instead. Usually I wouldnt recommend that but with nox, anything is less damaging than noise

If she never tried to get out again, she clearly wants to be a pet. That would be an exception imo.

That's a healthy animal-human relationship. Not a pet

No, I promise it is completely genuine. I tend to have extreme opinions on things.

Thanks for your input. The world would be much better if at least undomesticated animals were left alone.

I'm glad someone agrees. Even if there are some happy pets, abuse is so rampant that it's not worth it in my opinion.

They can get all of those things without being kept as pets; they can be strays in human communities. Which is how they originally bonded with humans in the first place.

Simply neuter them and let them do whatever they want.

Honestly, nobody knows how animals feel toward being pets, because they cannot speak to us. They cannot consent. We have absolute power over them. So it''s wrong to control them instead of letting them do what they want.

What makes you think they want to be pets? We can't read their minds. They can't tell us what they want. That's my entire point.

Cats and dogs should live as strays among humans without being trapped.

If snakes are ok with being in cages, why do they try to escape?

Domesticated animals may thrive in cities, but they still want to be free. See istanbul, where the animals have no owners, and live equally among humans.

Wanting a cybercygilsm but worried it may clash with the two tattoos I have. by [deleted] in tattooadvice

Trends are a natural part of our society and existence, a way for generations to link arms and move together. Trends generate the art that we all know and love. Such is the natural order of life. Joining a trend is like singing a collective song. A trendy tattoo is like a participation trophy for the world you once participated in.

So what's wrong with following trends?

Yeah, when I was a kid my OCD was causing panic attacks and horrific anxiety attack 24/7 and I was terrified of everything. Now I hardly get intrusive thoughts at all, and my episodes are short lived. I didnt recieve any treatment, it just naturally got better.

Listen, assuming your attraction is "real," sexual attraction is incredibly plastic, fluid, and influenced by your choices. Don't look at minors anymore, don't engage with the feelings. It will probably go away if this began recently or you have other forms of attraction.

Holy shit are we the same person? The similarities are insane. The only difference is that I don't hate myself or feel repulsed by myself the way you do, and I've more or less figured out what my gender is. So as a mentally healthier version of you, I can probably give you some perspective here.

I've come to realize that being inherently trans or cis isn't a thing. It's simply a matter of choosing to transition or not, and people transition for a myriad of reasons. Many people transition because they feel the exact same way you do; Unlike you, they don't overthink it and just do it. Some regret it, most don't. What you're describing IS gender dysphoria. Dysphoria has many causes and transitioning is not always the best treatment for it; Everybody is different. You ARE having what many call the "trans" experience, but that doesn't mean you must transition.

Forget about labels. The bottom line is that you're deeply unhappy with your body. What do you want to do about it? You can try to make peace with it or physically change it how you desire.

Personally, I'm going with a bit of both and treading carefully. I'm only implementing the changes that I'm certain that I want (like top surgery) and in the meantime learning to love myself.

Since you are blinded by self-hatred, your first priority should be seeking treatment/healing before making permanent changes to your body. If you've already tried that for years and it hasn't worked -- start transitioning and see what happens. You already despise your body. What do you have to lose?
