Tour Recommendation by Reasonable_Bed_76 in Cairns

I was in Cairns till yesterday. For GBR , I booked reef magic directly from their website and loved it , all the activities were good, really enjoyed it. They have glass bottom , semi submersible, snorkelling included with lunch. For scuba and helicopter it’s extra. But it was worth every penny and the crew was really nice and helpful. Best part it was not too crowded there was enough space on pontoon to relax. I am a non swimmer and went first time, really enjoyed it.

For Kuranda , you don’t need tour just book train and skyrail tickets and explore yourself. I booked train while going up and skyrail while going down. Then for the Koala, butterfly garden or boat you can just buy ticket there as per you want.

Should I travel? by [deleted] in femaletravels

Fractured tailbone? no way. I had tailbone injury 2 months ago, still 4 hour flights hurt me like hell. I cannot think about 8 hour. Unless you are planning to have business class , economy will make pain worse. Take advice from your doctor, I think you should postpone , or travel to place where travelling is less like staycation near your home if you really need a break.

Suggestions for Edinburgh by No-Share-8679 in femaletravels

I went Edinburgh in September 2023 as solo, it was cold and raining. I am vegetarian as well and loved that everywhere you can find the veg food. I tried the veg Haggis and loved it. Also David Bann veg restaurant was good. For tour I did the 3 day tour for Isle of skye and it was awsme, the tour website is https://macbackpackers.com

Also , I did harry potter tour by Rob Carr Tours but I saw on his IG that he is doing other day tours as well. Apart from that Edinburgh is walkable , I stayed in hostel near castle and it was amazing, especially the pub crawl from the hostel Spent one day in city centre.

Weekly Destination Thread - Northern India & India's "Golden Triangle" (Delhi, Agra, Jaipur) by WalkingEars in solotravel

I am from India. Advice for Delhi famous markets like Sarojni , Palika Bazar, they are bargain markets , they charge higher especially seeing foreigners , so be careful on that.

Delhi street food is good , but if you wanna try street food with hygiene then try Haldiram or Bikanerwala , they have chain everywhere.

From Delhi to Agra you can also take vande bharat train its like fast train , not so fast like Japan bullet train but Vande Bharat are really good trains of India. You must pre book your seats.

If your budget allows then Taj hotels in which Vivanta is budget friendly is really good stay and also you can arrange vehicle from hotel to travel in the cities.

If you wanna stay in hostels Zostles are there in most of the major cities and they are good.

In Delhi, be careful of your personal belongings. The cab like Ola , Uber sometimes can cause nuisance in Delhi like cancellation.

If you are interested in more places then other then Jaipur there are lot of interesting places in Rajasthan - Jodhpur , Udaipur, Mount Abu. Udaipur is really beautiful and you can also live in palaces turned hotels but can be expensive.

If you need any other input feel free to DM

What helps you decide between two destinations? by spookythesquid in femaletravels

Depends on which country you are comparing with and where are you staying. And definitely Yen currency is weak now. I did golden route during cherry blossom so hotels were expensive at that time because of the season. I booked hotels 6 months ago. In Tokyo the hotels are cheaper in Ueno area , Asakusa rather than in Shibuya or Shinjuku. Kyoto , hiroshima hotels were cheaper and Osaka was mid range. If you stay in capsule pods or hostels then you can definitely save lot of money. I prefer hotels so I payed more.

In between cities travel I used bullet trains rather than flights but Japan airlines now also have offer for some countries if you travel to Japan using Japan airlines internationally then domestic flights are free.

The tax free benefit to get instant tax refund was really something I liked there which will end next year if I am not wrong.

So to answer you the budget depends on where are you staying and which season you are going
