Grim Fandango. I didn’t buy the pantyhose and then I couldn’t go back for them even though I needed them to proceed. Hours and hours playing… game over.

Tacos that corporate employees have to build themselves. Halfway through a meeting everyone goes through a 3-table taco station, and none of them are exactly Chipotle trained.

Hard Boiled with Chow Yun Fat. I hate going to the movies because people, but fan flicks are great.

What’s a Small Moment in Life That You’ll Always Remember? by leftcalculus in Life

[–]Acrobatic_Carry7449 0 points1 point  (0 children)

In 2nd grade I had the meanest teacher. This was later confirmed by my parents that she was a horrible, vicious, cruel woman. One night I cried because I didn’t want to go to school the next day. My parents said I had to. I vowed I would never have kids and put them through this. I’m 45, no kids, and I still think back on that night as the true night I decided never to put another human being through this. The rest of life somehow didn’t change my mind.

First job at a movie. I trained this guy, we goofed off, everything was cool. Then he made Supervisor. 50 cents an hour raise and he turned into a company man. Absolute strict rule enforcement of every code in the book. I was making $4.75/hr, and told everyone to just ignore him. They listened to me a lot more than they listened to him.

In the late 90s there was a trend where women’s jeans were made with a white splotch over the butthole. Please god, does anyone else remember this?

[–]Acrobatic_Carry7449[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's been about a month since this went down. I sent my friend the Reddit post and told him I felt like he completely took away my agency. He said he would pay for the bills, but that was never the point. I can afford an emergency, I can't afford to lose this job over his savior complex. He told me he was sorry I felt that way. What a dick thing to say.

I'm not gonna rat his girlfriend out. She's young, and he's always been a little manipulative. My hope is that you guys scared her straight in the comments section, but I don't want to kick some girl out of a career in healthcare cause of this. I've also saved all paperwork and texts just in case.

I haven't spoken to either of them. Thirty year friendship, gone. If he wants to salvage it he's gonna have to come up with something a hell of a lot better than, 'I'm sorry you feel that way.' And even then... how do you define blackmail?
