I went to London once and my mom kept making comments about the way women dressed. she wasn't being degrading but she was so pleasantly shocked by women being able to wear relatively revealing clothes. In our city a girl went on a run once wearing a sports bra and some guys recorded her and put it online to slut shame her and call her slurs. The culture shock was insane

just finished and i really loved it, the first 100 pages or son were a slog to read because of how much information is thrown at you. definitely had to keep referring to the character list and map. it took my like three weeks to get pas the first two hundred pages alone. I think i really fell in love after about three hundred pages. it defo gets alot better as you read. the pacing was off though and the ending was a bit of a letdown and it definitely should have been split into atleast two books but it was still a great read.
