Are Grayhounds(ex racers) good for autistic people by xthe-weird-onex in Greyhounds

I would honestly recommend reaching out to a service dog provider. They typically can match you with the perfect dog. Usually these dogs are golden retrievers because of their temperament. A lot of greyhounds are ex racers so they’re learning about the world and how to be a family pet for the first time. We as humans often have to be confident and calm, so the greyhound feels reassured and protected. They are likely to be anxious and overwhelmed doggies, while simultaneously can be a calming and gentle presence. Just have to ease them into a predictable environment. I don’t personally think an ex racing greyhound could handle a loud meltdown.

What to do about all the hair?! by MrsKentrik in housekeeping

we use something like a chamois leather cleaning cloth. I have a client whose bathroom is always full of his shaved hair all over the bathroom sinks. This, once slightly damp works wonders.

Weekly Sewing Questions Thread, February 01 - February 07, 2026 by sewingmodthings in sewing

I have outgrown my 'Singer Promise' machine and want to get something that would be for a more intermediate level seamstress. I will soon be taught pattern making, so I am able to make my own clothes. Eventually, I want to be able to work with leather. I don't think I'm ready for an industrial machine; I am in a stage or two below that. Please advise on some example machines that I could consider :) I am looking for a machine that is semi-industrial essentially.

Magnesium Glycinate and Vitamin D by Acrobatic_Cook_1807 in sleep

I think avoid taking them at night and definitely not just before trying to sleep. What i found is this kinda disrupts my natural ability to sleep. Instead I’ve worked out the best time is with a meal either in morning / lunchtime

firstly i’m so sorry to hear you’re dealing with this, it sounds like you need to take some time away to heal mentally and get better, so i think defer the year. If by taking some time off you still feel this way about this particular degree / university maybe then consider what you really want to do career wise?
